It has a HUGE capacity at 7.4 cubic feet, while have the dimensions of a much smaller machine, making it fit perfectly in our tight laundry room space. Lot's of great features including AI drying. Will lengthen or shorten the drying time depending on the dampness of the load. It also has a steam function which is so great. No more throwing ice cubes in the dryer when I want to take the wrinkles out of my dress shirts. Very happy with this purhcase.

Arranging the installation was tricky, because of the gas dryer. It all worked out in the end and LG’s customer service personnel are simply THE BEST! I will never go back to using an electric dryer again. No static!! Wow!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MDvaughn from Very Good Dryer - Lots of Settings and Features I went with the LG product after a lot of research; looking for quality and dependability - and value. I'm very happy we did, in spite of the learning curve; this is our first foray into the world of modern, "smart" dryers. We're still learning the settings - as far as the best settings for various clothing type. Though there are numerous preset choices that cover the world of clothing and linen - they're not necessarily a 1:1 correlation to the washing instruction terms found on clothing labels. Tumble Dry Low for example is indicated on the majority of our clothing, including sweatshirts. However, if you try to dry a load of sweatshirts using the "Delicates" setting (the only preset you might assume correlates to "Tumble Dry Low"), you'll find they don't completely dry (even with customizing the Dry level to the max). It takes some trial and error with the settings, for us at least. Also, we find the AI setting not to be very useful as you cannot customize the heat level; by default it is set to a higher heat level than we like. We do like the steam feature though - we use it for wrinkle free pants after the regular drying cycle completes - it works great! And we very much appreciate the overall efficiency - a huge improvement over the old fashioned dry we had previously. We're looking forward to mastering the settings. We've downloaded a couple of settings from the app that weren't already preloaded - including "Rack Dry" - which works with a rack (we bought separately) that sits in the drum so you can dry "lay flat to dry" items, or anything you simply don't want to be tumbling around (like shoes).

Rated 3 out of 5 by SuperNJDad from Overall Good Dryer The dryer so far works ok. What so didn’t like was the steam connector is cheap plastic hose thread. You will need the white pipe thread to wrap many times. Also, I’m a bit concerned that the inside turns significantly when you tighten - just a bad overall cheap design. The rear LG 4” lint hook up is also cheaper quality than our last dryer. The front controls are minimalist, but I would recommend the application to set up additional controls and download updates. Most of the buttons are gone. Here’s the good news, the dryer looks great. The LG App is overall excellent with home WiFi hookup. The steam dryer is a nice added feature. The dryer is eligible at our time of purchase and location for utility refund for clean energy. Address the cheap steam water connection in the future with a brass or stainless connector and it would be better and secure the mount so it doesn’t twist and make you think you’re breaking it. The gas like hook up was much better and up to standards. Put in a better quality 4” Vent which isn’t paper thin and bends.

The washer doesn't have a way to use cold water. It has to be set every time to do a load. Even if I select cold, when the load is done it is obvious that hot or warm water has been used. Sometimes the gas dryer doesn't always get clothes completely dry. I tried the steam setting in the dryer to get the wrinkles out of a couple of tops and they came out more wrinkled and wet! So much for steaming. The washer spins very well and quietly.

Cons: Very disappointed in steam function--steam function leaves clothes completely soaked. It was one of the reasons we bought this model and we are really angry that this doesn't work as advertised. Potential quality issues? Our drum is already squeaking (but that may have been caused by the repair person trying to fix the steam function). No delay start function?
