Turn on room lights and open door, remember the setting and then close door and look for buttons to push per direction on inside of closed door. Not a lot of thought went into practical operation.

LG came to try and fix it unsuccessfully twice and then asked for the invoice copy which i lost but when i called PC Richard's customer service they told me because its a 1 year warranty that i can just exchange it at the store and Ali (PCR cust svc) provided me with the invoice number. i went to the store (Paramus) and a nice man brought out a hand truck and took it into the store for me and immediately started the paperwork process to replace it at no cost. its being installed in 3 days. the service is outstanding and all the staff i encountered treated me like their best customer ever. Kudos to Dwayne as well, really pleasant salesman. back to the microwave, its electronic, things happen, thats why there is a warranty. the reheat and defrost functions on it work great without overcooking the edges. the fan works great as well as we use it for all cooking over the range. it was easy to swap the exhaust fan around so it uses the vent hole in the wall instead of blowing heat and smoke back in the kitchen. best microwave in 40 years ive had. thats why even after breaking i want the same exact one!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Microwave This is a very nice microwave. It functions well, like you would expect from a normal microwave. I also discovered that its vent functions extremely well - it quickly sucked up hot air from my smoking oven (much better than my previous microwave did). And the little jingle signaling the end of the cooking is very cute! I would recommend this product.

I likthat there is no handle sticking out. It is very sleek. There is just one thing on the number panel, I wish it would illuminate, because you always need a bright light on to see the panel.

Can this be installed without outside ventilation?

Sorry about the late response but I have no ducts on my unit for outside ventilation because its been grounded, which allows the air from the vent to flow internally; when you turn on the fan vent the airflow is felt at the top front of the microwave.

This will be mounted against a wall on the left side. How much clearance is needed to open the door?

It needs 1 inch clearance to open the door fully.
