Most microwaves work the same and this one functions as it should but better. I love how the screen lights up when you use it and is dark when it is not used. We have the exhaust going outside and basically we can do any frying and no smell inside. It is very powerful and we can see how the smoke is exhaust. The microwave is super quiet and the design we simply love it. Totally worth the money spent!

I love that it extends over the stove if you are frying and need to pull up the smoke and fumes with just a push of the bar. The fan is strong, the lighting is nice as it brightens up gently and is bright enough to see the stove top well.

The different functions are useful, especially the auto defrost and the sensor cook. I like the +30 seconds for short heating or to add time to one of the presets. Turning off the sound is easy; then we don't disturb one another when on different schedules. The extendavent is helpful when we use the range top that we have below.

I needed to replace our "over the range microwave vent hood" and searched out several different brands and decided to purchase this LG model. The extend a vent is really what caught our attention as it could possibly help keep steam from rising up onto our cabinets above. So far it has worked great. The only recommendation I have is to print the mounting diagram on heavier weight paper. It was very difficult for one person to hold flimsy paper and tape it in location for the mounting holes. Possibly print it on the cardboard box if you could.

I do wish that you could program the time for the light on the bottom from the buttons on the microwave. You have to use the app for that feature. The app is easy to use. The extendable vent is a nice feature also, it slides out most of the way by itself but usually sticks a liitle at the end and you have to give a slight pull to extend all the way. At 100% power it heats food up fast. It is very quiet while running and plays a short song when finished.
