Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet AC Weather has been too good for much use but - as promised - this is the quietest AC we've ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from phenomenal unit at phenomenal price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit was purchased about one month ago. The sales man recommended this brand name to me due to the fact it was much quieter then the one I had. I do like the features and I am pleased to say it is quieter then the older model that was in my window. The remote control is large enough to see

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet Cool Good temperature control; easy to use; quiet; easy set up; fit into space of our prior a/c

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ITS A VERY GooD PRODUCT I like this product because it has less noise than the usual noise of other air conditioners

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool LG Air Conditioner! So far, so good, but I've only had this air conditioner for about a month. Very quiet and cools well. 6000 BTUS is fine for my bedroom which is under 200 sq ft. Air conditioners usually start out well, but I will see how long it goes without problems. I expect a new air conditioner to last about 10-15 years. I also like that this air conditioner has no open vents on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great a/c! Works great! Quiet, efficient, easy to maintain. Was a little tough to set up but I had never set up an a/c unit before so I think that was the main issue. Would absolutely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, efficient, and value for the price Almost silent. It keeps the room at a constant temperature with none of the swings felt with a regular compressor. Extremely energy efficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent AC [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to use in a bedroom based on a very high rating from Consumer Reports as well as excellent customer reviews. It's a bit pricey for a 6,000 b.t.u. AC due to the dual inverter compressors but well worth it. It's extremely quiet and cools very well. My only complaint is with the front panel display which is difficult to read, apart from the temperature. I really like that the front panel is solid, apart from the air vents on top. The vents that most air conditioners have in front of the filter are placed off to the sides and bottom. It's much easier to keep clean and looks attractive. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine: quiet, even temp, dehumidifies well I’m extremely happy with my LG. It’s very quiet, the temperature is extremely even and it dehumidifies better than my past machines. I bought this 6000 BTU machine after being very happy with a 12,000 BTU LG inverter unit I purchased last year, which has the same positive characteristics. These come close to the performance of the built-in heat pumps I have at a weekend house. The machines aren’t as aesthetically pleasing as some other brands, but they really deliver when it come to comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG Air Conditioner Thinking back on all of my past air conditioner purchases this one ranks as #1 best purchase. It is quieter then expected which is a plus as it is being used in the bedroom. It cools perfectly, the air deflector louvers adjust to exactly the right positions for me. The controls are easy to understand as is using the remote. I still haven't figured out how to get it to connect to wifi but I guess I'll eventually get that sorted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and packs a punch! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the quietest unit I've ever had or heard and it keeps my room very cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We bought this recently because of good revies. Its quiet and runs great. I love that the vent louvres have a good range to direct the air. There's a desk close by and our old unit would blow on the person seated there unless we set something up to block it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it's so quiet this was out of stock for months but I'm so glad I bought it!! I've never had such a quiet and effective AC. Their fan is amazing shooting air a good solid 10'. I've got dogs so my door is frequently open, despite this the whole room is within 1-2 degrees of what I set it for. now the negatives the Smart Home integration doesn't work very well. Nope it's not worth using

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooling Capacity [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this window Ac unit to cool a new enclosed porch. It works well even during the hottest day of the year last week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Quiet A/C Unit I've had this unit in place for a month and love it!! Its unbelievably quiet!!; this is my 2nd LG Dual Inverter window cooling unit, the other being a 10K BTU that I've had for over a year with no problems!!
Date published: 2023-08-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO exquisitely quiet What a grand machine! After years of sleeping in the same room as a horribly noisy, rattly air conditioner, I have this efficient and quiet one. It has transformed my life

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall excellence! Received my LG window A/C unit after a long wait. But it was well worth the wait. The unit is efficient and incredibly quiet. Many great functions, which gives us great flexibility in how we use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is it running? It's so quiet you don't even know it's running. Unlike other AC's when you start them they go on with a bang. This one (Inverter) when you start it the fan and compressor ramps up slowly. It's a bedroom AC, so quiet don't even know it's running. It was bought for that reason. The only down side is it takes more power to run than other 6K air conditioners. It takes more that the 8K LG AC I replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as I had hoped! I have been extremely impressed with this unit since I installed it a few weeks ago. It’s extremely quiet, aesthetically clean and simple, and among the absolute most efficient Energy Star models on the market today, especially considering that window units made for smaller rooms (I have the 6000 btu model) tend to be less efficient overall. Very happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Air Conditioner Great machine. Bought this for a South facing bedroom. Working beautifully right out of the box. Whisper quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good so far Remarkably quiet, cools our 170 sq ft bedroom quickly and without creating a wind-tunnel. We have used it only once since taking delivery in May, so I may have more to say later. This unit replaced a ten-year-old Friedrich, which performed well but was noisy (howled, actually) and lacked the inverter feature, which I think is the only way to go now that it's available. Regarding installation: We live in a 12th-floor Manhattan apartment, so we had the building superintendent install it -- even if I were handy I wouldn't want the liability of doing it myself -- so I cannot say whether it is easy to install. Working carefully and methodically -- and using a brace (not supplied) outside the window plus a piece of heavy angle-iron (also not supplied) behind the unit's upper flange to make the unit's falling out of the window virtually impossible -- he took about a half hour to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product A bit noisier that I'd like, but overall good performance
Date published: 2024-08-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great choice for a small room Really good unit. Super quiet. Cools our 12 x 15 room well. WiFi control from the LG app is great. We have other LG appliances and it’s great to control everything with one app. Not the least expensive but worth it in my opinion.
Date published: 2024-08-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from quiet & efficient. good fan operation. A very expensive a/c. Gave it 4 stars due to the cost but 5 stars for operation. This is a big 6k btu a/c due to its dual inverter technology/mechanics. Wish it had a better warranty .No drip hole for condensation run off but its technology is supposed to deal with it thru evaporation however from time to time a water gurgling noise can be heard. I believe if consumer wanted the condensation to drip out, there may be a small plug that can be removed from the bottom of the unit. I recommend this unit if you can comfortably afford it.
Date published: 2024-07-31
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cooling; heavy and difficult installation Great cooling power and quiet, but the unit was difficult to install because it is so heavy (much heavier than a 10,000 BTU dual inverter by Frigidaire) and because the sides are so smooth it is difficult to grab and position.

How do I disable the beeping noise on the LG6023IVSM, 6000BTU? It does not look possible which is ironic as it's supposed to be a quiet machine.

Asked by: MConway
Hi there, thank you for your question about the LG LW6023IVSM air conditioner. To disable the beeping noise, you typically need to access the unit’s settings or use the remote control. Look for an option in the settings menu or on the remote labeled “Sound” or “Beep” to mute or turn off the sound. If you don't see this option, consult the user manual for detailed instructions on managing the sound settings. If you need further assistance or if the beeping noise persists, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be happy to help. We appreciate your patience and understanding. —Avril

Are there “fins” that are attached to both sides of the AC to close the space between the side of the AC and the window casing?

One of the images displays a “hook” on the bottom of the AC in the location the window sill will come into contact with the AC. Does this “hook” present a problem with the AC sitting flush onto the window sill?

Asked by: Yooooooo
Hi there. Thank you for your question about the LG air conditioner, model #LW6023IVSM. The “hook” on the bottom of the AC, where it meets the window sill, is designed to help secure the unit in place and provide additional stability. It should not prevent the AC from sitting flush onto the window sill. However, if the hook is causing any issues with the fit or alignment, you might need to adjust the placement of the unit or ensure that the window sill is properly supported. For the best installation, make sure the AC is level and that the hook does not interfere with the unit’s stability or the proper sealing of the window. If you encounter any problems or need further assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. Our team will be more than happy to help you resolve any issues. We appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you. —Renzo

2) How is this AC “secured” within the window space? Typically there is a raised part on the top of the AC which the upper window sash is lowered behind.

Asked by: Yooooooo
Hello there. Thank you for reaching out with your question about securing your LG air conditioner, model #LW6023IVSM, within the window space. To secure this AC model, start by ensuring that the unit is properly supported using the included window brackets or support brackets. Install the window sash seal or foam seal between the top window sash and the air conditioner to create a secure fit and prevent air leaks. The upper window sash should then be lowered behind the air conditioner, pressing firmly to hold the unit in place. If your unit has a raised part or tabs on the top, make sure the sash is positioned correctly behind these parts. After installation, check that the air conditioner is stable and does not move. If you need more detailed instructions or encounter any issues, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be happy to assist you further. We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you with your air conditioner setup. —Renzo

Please see the following link: https://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-room-air-conditioners/details/2404828. Do you need a window brace/bracket for this unit?

Asked by: Marybakescakes
HI there. This brace is only required in some states to be installed around the Air Conditioner and it is not included with the Air Conditioner and LG does not sell that. A properly installed air conditioner should sit securely in the window without an additional support bracket. However, very heavy units(those more than 100 pounds) do require additional support and some locations, notably New York City, require the use of a bracket for all window air conditioners regardless of weight. ^Jai.`Jai.
