Great choice in clothes washers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been up and running for just over a week of normal duty plus a week's worth of catching up. Wash cycles are dramatically shorter duration than my previous front loader and the clothes are cleaner too. Machine is quiet and spins out equivalent to front loader, so my drying cycles are consistent.
Controls are straight forward, and it has all the settings one would ever need. The machine itself seems well constructed. I did find the drain hose too short for my application (port is in lower RH corner). I purchased a 1" hose kit with coupler to extend and all is well. I'm very pleased with my choice thus far.

All’s well that ends well!

I ordered the simplest Maytag to minimize the chance of computer breakdown. I bought a 5 year warranty because I am a skeptic by nature. So far the machine has served me well. The settings are convenient. It gets the clothes clean. The delicate cycle has encouraged me to wash cashmere sweaters instead of giving them to the dry cleaners. The washer is quiet and efficient. I am really loving it.

Love my new Maytag Commercial Top Loader!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the commercial Maytag washer after owning a different brand front loader. My new Maytag washer is wonderful! I opted for a model without the high tech bells/whistles, just more things to go wrong. After using the new washer, I immediately notice my white towels were so much cleaner, I showed my husband the comparison with other towels in the linen closet and he agreed. This machine also washes more clothes (able to adjust water level) and in a shorter time too! Best decision to switch front loader to top loader.

Best washer you can get today!
We bought this machine 13 months ago to replace a troublesome Speed Queen “Perfect wash” machine that would never clean the laundry and died at just 4 years old. I wanted something that would wash exactly like the machines made in the 90’s, and as soon as I saw that Whirlpool Double Action agitator I knew this was it.
We are a family of 5 with a newborn and 2 dogs, so we do laundry every single day, sometimes even TWICE a day, and this machine tackles the job with EASE. Just moving this machine around I could feel how sturdy it was. Cycles are only about a half hour long, the cleaning action is phenomenal, the capacity is excellent, and the lid only locks during the spin cycle(s) so you can lift the lid and that stray sock at any time. Folks, this is how a washer is supposed to work!
But my favorite part of this machine is that it has a true WATER LEVEL SELECTOR! You can choose from four different water levels, with the “Deep Water” setting filling almost all the way to the top! No “auto sensing” or “High Efficiency” nonsense on this machine. The only exception to this is on the “Normal Eco” setting, where it will reduce water usage but being that it’s an Eco wash that is to be expected.
Hot water is straight Hot, it will not regulate the temperature! Plus the 5 year warranty is real peace of mind.
My only real complaint with this machine is the Noise level. It’s not LOUD by any means (I’ve definitely heard worse haha) but it’s definitely a bit noisier than something like a Front Loader. This doesn’t bother us as it lives in our basement, but I just thought I’d put that out there.
PROS:
- VERY well built
- Excellent Capacity
- Strong Wash Action, But delicate when you need it to be.
- Lid only locks during spin!
- Real Water Level Selector (with full fill capability) just like the old machines!
- Straight Hot Water
- Can wash consecutive loads with no problems
- FIVE YEAR Warranty!
- Fast cycle times
Cons (Most are negligible)
- Slightly noisier than some, not terrible
- Will not fill with lid open
- It’s not the most stylish washer on the market, but I’d take performance over looks any day myself.
Would highly recommend this machine! One of our friends has it also and she loves hers as much as we love ours!
