I specifically sought out a unit WITHOUT an ice maker; that way we have 20% more usable freezer space. This Maytag unit is nicely designed, yet simple. Just one thing about "simple" - It only has push button settings for the temperature level, plus a slide panel to decrease the freezer's temp. It is lacking a digital read out.
