Best air conditioner EVER!
I love this Air conditioner! I've had it now for a couple of years and it functions amazingly. The ability to raise the wondow with the air conditioner still in is great and the app makes it super easy to turn on or off my unit when I'm away! I can also set schedules for the air conditioner to function automatically without having to worry if I turned it on before I left home! The remote that came with it however, has not ever worked. It's like it doesn't link to my a.c. and the clean filter notification is always on when I open the app even after I've just cleaned it and even tho you clear the notification it comes right back but aside from those 2 issues there been nothing except excellent performance from this unit. The notification is nothing and i dont need a remote with the app! I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and I will buy this exact same unit in the future when it needs replaced. I highly recommend this brand and model air conditioning unit.

Game changing window AC
I cannot believe that this AC is not the most popular unit on the market. I was lucky enough to have the Midea U Shape AC recommended by a friend who bought one 2 years ago. My traditonal AC unit stopped working so I looked into this new style, based on his positive experience. I was a little hesitant because I didnt know how to install this type and change was big enough to warrant second guessing this style. I am so glad that we bought this AC. My Super installed it, but after seeing him do it, I think anyone could easily do it. The style change is revolutionary. It is almost as quiet as central air, and insanely effecient. We got the 12,000 BTU for a 600 sq ft space and it can make the apt cold pretty quickly. Watching TV while the air is on is no longer blasting the TV to volume 30 to hear the dialogue. We literally have the TV volume on the level we listen in the winter. The app is excellent and allows you to save "favorite" settings. I can change settings from bed in the other room from my phone without line of site to the AC. The app also allows for fan settings down to the %. The unit allows for low, medium and high. But, the remote is 1% to 100% so you can vary the levels down to an exact micro setting. Crazy! The standard/physical remote is excellent too. An analogy for this would be when we went from box tvs to flat screen. It's that big of a jump in quality of technology. Unlike that tv analogy however, the price is relatively the same as traditional ACs. We also live in a Manhattan apt without storage space, so our AC unit stays in the window all year long. The fact that this unit allows the window to close so much lower will make for less drafts in the winter and less area to weather proof. I cannot recommend this AC more! I still cannot believe I didn't know about this and more people don't already know about this product. They need to advertise more. Must buy if you need an AC.

Easy to install and quiet
We did a lot of research before deciding on this unit. We wanted something that was decently quiet, easy to install and would cool our bedroom and other close areas. The install took about 25 minutes with two people. The instructions were SO EASY!! We had an older AC unit that was portable and it was so loud. This AC is way quieter than what we are used to and cools the room down incredibly fast. We don't ever notice the sound (nice white noise) and it never wakes us up. I love this unit and would recommend it to anyone!

Love This AC!
We have had this AC for two years now and right now it is 93 out and have to keep this at 70 because any lower I would freeze! This window unit cools my huge kitchen, back mudroom, hallway and bathroom. We are so impressed we are buying two more for upstairs! The unit is quiet. Different install than regular window ones, but not complicated.

AMAZING
I got this with hesitation and reservations with what they claim to be quiet and and how well they work. Installation was not as difficult as it seems just pay attention. This unit is way more quiet than i had thought initially. It also cools my rancher with no problem. I plan on buying more of these for other rooms. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT

I would buy this product again.
This has to be the quietest air unit I have ever owned. I must admit when it was delivered, and I opened the box and saw all of the parts and the intricate assembly required. I thought to myself, if I had known this, I never would have ordered it. I went on YouTube for the installation video and it was extremely articulate and easy to understand. I think I spent about an hour assembling all of the sub assembly work to install this. If you one of those folks that likes to take it out in the winter, you may want to rethink your purchase. Beyond that, I think it's a great unit and I really like the ability to turn it on remotely via a Wi-Fi connection.

Wonderful product
I bought this to replace an older window unit. Our home is very old(no central air). We usually run 2 units downstairs and 2 units upstairs. Once we tried the unit on the first floor, I went and got another for upstairs. We were very comfortable with only 2 units but I did buy a third which we will install next year. It is amazing how quiet it is. We love it.

Absolutely Incredible Output.
I live in Florida. It gets HOT here, this summer (2023) it has been day after day of 95 (feels like 100) . My in-laws 36,000 BTU Central air system was having issues, so I put the 12,000 BTU U-Shape unit in their Mobile home along with 3 other Midea smaller units (8,000 regular, 5,000 regular and 6,000 regular), the 5,000 and 6,000 are in bedrooms (quiet units). The 12,000 U-shape and 8,000 regular are catty cornered across the main living room/dinning room areas. The whole house is 1500 sqft. The main area that the 12 and the 8 are cooling is about 750 sqft. The 8,000 btu unit hardly ever comes on... I'll say that again, the 8,000 unit hardly comes on. That 12,000 U-Shape unit is keeping that entire area cold by itself until around 4pm. That's when the 8,000 finally kicks in for a while. 12,000 BTU units are not supposed to be able to do that! All in all, the house stays around 72-74 degrees and these units are using less power than the main unit was using. Their neighbors (who have central air in comparable mobile homes) are getting $330 power bills. My in-laws are just over $200. To say these units are efficient is an understatement. I have lived in Florida for over 50 years, I have used all sorts of AC units over time and I have NEVER seen anything like this! If you are on the fence about buying a Midea unit, pull the trigger. I highly recommend the U-Shape units. They are AMAZING and are well worth the money. I won't buy any other brand going forward. Midea has won me and my family as loyal customers. And at the price they charge, the unit could quit working after a year or two and I would buy another one. They perform too good under these conditions not to use them.

Quiet and PERFECT for a VoiceOver studio!
I'm a national VoiceOver talent and a comfortable studio is so important! My VoiceOver studio is on the second floor of my house and our upstairs HVAC has been underpowered since installed. We recently completely lost our upstairs AC and I bought this Midea as an emergency replacement to keep the studio cool while we get a new house ducted HVAC installed. The Midea has been great, cools my studio like it has never been cooled before, and is actually quieter than my central whole house vents ever were, and a quiet cooling system is a MUST for a VoiceOver studio. From this point forward, I will be using the Midea U-Shaped window unit as my main cooling unit for the studio. Plus it looks great! By the way, install was only a few easy steps and even though 2 people are recommended for install, I handled it easily on my own. Thanks for making such a great product, Midea! If you ever need a VoiceOver for commercials, training, install videos, whatever...then look me up because I will be voicing about a product I believe in!

I am 73 (female) and set up this unit by myself in my garage window. The garage is 650 sq ft and it's a cool 72 degrees. I make baskets out of rope and have to work with 900 degree soldering irons. When it's 100 degrees in Texas in July it's not possible to work in a garage without suffering. This AC unit is the answer to many an old lady's prayers. So easy to install. I only needed my son to lift it in place and I did all of the rest. Thank you.

Working well for us
This is working well during a recent hot spell in the San Francisco Bay Area with daily highs in the low 90s. We have this in a 2nd floor bedroom window and our house is a "tiny house" with no ceiling insulation at all. The 2nd floor used to be like a pizza oven during hot snaps but this unit is doing a great job keeping up AND it's super quiet. Wish we bought this a few years ago!

So far, so great!
I have a 'split-level' home, with bedrooms on the upper level, and no central A/C. Over the past 16 years of ownership, I've used a window unit in the master bedrooms west window and have had to clean out bird nests & debris from the sill every fall, to the point of the sill becoming unstable for further A/C use. Purchased this, placed in the south window, and with the glass down most of the way, will hopefully make the birds find a tree, rather than a window, otherwise more extreme measures will be taken...

1+1+1= WOW!!!!
I love my 12000 btu Midea U AC. I bought it to use in my camp as it hiad a high efficiency rating and I am off grid. I had been using two 2000 watt inverter generators to run my fridge and small (6000 btu) older style ac unit at my camp as if I used 1 the generatorwould kick out at times due to overload when both were running. Since I bought the Midea U 12000 btu unit I use 1 2000 watt generator and have never had it kick out with both the fridge and ac on it. In fact I run it on eco mode and it barely ramps up just for a second or 2 when either the fridge or ac compressor initializes. I get 10 hours of run time off from a single gallon on fuel. Did I mention I use this to cool down my whole camp instead of just one small room with the old ac we were using! Oh and it still powers my lights and tv etc... Yeah this ac rocks so I bought another for my house in November for the up coming summer months 7 months away.... I then bought another in march for my moms house to beat the rush of summer back orders.....I love, not like this ac unit! They are awesome for my needs! I will be buying another for a rental I have sooner rather than later. No hesitation.

And I love love love this design! It’s simple to install and with the window being able to come down into the U shaped spot allows for minimal out side exposure. The set up was just as simple.
