Omg it's amazing. Don't underestimate it's size because it works awesome! Throws good fresh air for small rooms . It's a miracle we purchased especially with the heat this summer ☀️.

Best A/C for the money & more
I love this A/C can't imagine anyone needing more than this for small 400-500 sq/ft apt. We have 2 units & they cools more effectively & efficiently than a single 10,000 BTU unit but not sure what the cooling mode is exactly beyond the obvious with the little fan icon. What it does differently? Our units have the normal 4 modes high cool, low cool high fan/low fan but this also has a 5th mode at 6 o'clock. A cooling setting with a fan icon. I imagine it cools in some new way, i'll have to check the manual. Great A/C!

The Best little window unit ive ever had
I've got a 5th wheel trailer in lake Havasu where the temp has been between 115 and 122 this past week , my roof ac unit couldn't keep up with the Temps I installed this 5000 but unit in the bedroom, it sloved cooling problems , The Best Little unit For the Money, I would recommend this unit to everyone

LOVE this unit!
We have a 9x9 bedroom that we practically live in to avoid roommate. Two adults and 3 cats. To say it gets hot real fast (FLORIDA) is an understatement. Our old 5000 but unit gave out but had never worked well from the start. This unit keeps it so cool!!! Never bought Midea before but will again.

Its the coolest thing since sliced break.

I live in a 2 bedroom mobile home and it completely cooled down the living room and kitchen and bedroom closest to the living where I had the unit installed. I had it in the window and up and running within minutes. It was very easy to fit to my window.

Super cold for these hot summer days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned many window unit air conditioners in the past, but this one takes the cake. I live in a studio apartment on the third floor with 12 foot ceilings. My old air conditioner was practically useless for maintaining my apartment at a reasonably cool temperature to the point I had to move my bed closer to the window to sleep comfortably. Even so, my summer electric bill was crazy high. After installing this air conditioner I was pleasently surprised how cool it made my entire studio apartment. I finally was able to arrange my apartment with my bed being in a more reasonable space and can even use my oven without fear of overheating my entire living space. Even better my electric bills aren't as high as they were last summer. So happy to finally beat the heat!

Perfect for Summer Weather

I also love how its quieter than most air conditioners and the air forced out is quicker compared to other on the current market. It installed with a breeze very quick and simple. The knobs are easy to operate and to read. It's not too bulky and fits a standard sized window with room to spare. This is such a great addition to have I absolutely love it!!

Keep the room cool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a small apartment NYC. Everyone knows that during the summer time, it can get hot really quickly. However, my apartment does not have room for a big AC. This is a god send. Its small and easy to pack for the winter time. It does the job very well and keeps the room nice a cool. It can be noisy but nothing compared to the street of NYC. It is easy to install and user friendly.

We installed it in our Bar Room that is detached from the home so there is no HVAC in there. Prior to getting this Midea Unit we were not able to fully enjoy the Bar area due to the excessive heat in there, now we are in there all the time. It cools the room so well and it is a pretty large room. I am truly impressed with this window unit for a brand I had never heard of before.

Perfect for a small room

You can adjust the vents to blow in different directions. Easy to run. Not loud. Also would work great in a ice castle for camping. Just the perfect size.

Amazing freezer box

It cools off my room and the room adjoining mine so I dont have to cool the whole house if I dont need to and I dont have to turn the big AC down low.

Mighty Air Conditioner

I was in the market for a small room air conditioner for my bedroom, and had done a lot of research. Midea - Midea 5,000 BTU Mechanical Control Window Air Conditioner came highly recommended, but I wanted to find out for myself. It was so easy to install, and set up. You just pull it out of the box and it was working within 10 minutes. Instructions were user friendly and easy to follow. Cooled off the room during the hot days of summer in less than 30 minutes. The fan has two speeds, and is a really good deal for the size of the unit. Intend to get many years of service out of the unit. Highly recommend it to friends and family.

Excellent Air Conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mechanical air conditioner product is modestly sized and traditional. It is only 5000 BTU but it packs enough power to cool a small room. I put this in my kids' bedroom since that room gets the hottest during sumner months. It does the job in cooling the air so my children are not suffering from dry heat during the summer. It is on the heavy side so portability is not really an option. This product is placed on the windowsill and works pretty much expected. I think the mechanical controls are better than digital these days because mechanical is more precise and you can more readily reoair it should the need arise. This is your standard color palette so it's not trying to make any fashion statements. Overall, a solid air conditioner for the keeping.

This is just too cool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and placed it in my bedroom window. My room has never been this cold. Not even with the house ac. Now I can keep the house AC at a normal temp and keep my room freezing cold. It was easy to install. I put it in by myself. This is the smallest unit and it weighs about 40 lbs. So it was easy to lift and place in window. The settings are easy to understand and set. I recommend to anyone who needs to cool off a smaller room.

Compact, simple, effective

Not much to the controls as what you see is what you get. If you're looking for something simple and easy this is it. Love the washable filter and it cools quick. Not much noise so it does the job well.

Only good for small rooms, just like its description says.
My mom gave me this model because it wasn't cooling her room down at all, but was fine for me because my room is much smaller. Don't bother with the user manual you download from this page because it's not helpful at all, I was trying to see what the "star" setting was next to the "big snowflake" to see if it was energy saving mode and all I learned was that this thing uses a little less power then most AC units. Also the dials are a little hard to turn and might annoy most people.
