If you can tighten a bolt, then you can connect the condenser to the air handler - that simple. Packaging was VERY well done - no chance of shipping damage. Installed just in time to weather a week long heat wave. Unit worked flawlessly. Very happy.

Just follow the instructions and you will be on your way to a comfortable space. Received the newest Enhance Smart Controller which provides the WiFi link to the air conditioner through the SmartHVAC app on my iPhone. The App is great and has worked flawlessly since I installed the mini-split. I like all the features except the history. I feel the ON duration should track the compressor run time, not the system On time. I find the system on time rather worthless in tracking how efficiently my schedules are working.

Additionally, it was easy to install and it works constantly without a sound. I was sure my electric bill was going to go through the roof, but the increase is negligible. Absolutely the best thing I have purchased for my home since I got it.

I read the detailed instructions and watched a couple YouTube videos. I had never worked with HVAC prior to wiring and installing this unit, It was easy to understand the unit and its installation. I installed it by myself (there were a couple steps that I could have used a little help). So far, so good. I've been through a -12 F night with no issues. Love it.

It worked very well at air conditioning a fairly large master bedroom suite and it is extremely quiet. I tried using it for heating and failed to properly place it on the hear mode. Once corrected, it worked equally well for heating. This is an excellent functional unit, but the installation was more of a challenge than the online videos represent, so anticipate that it will take more time and effort than your optimum expectations. It is doable and you will need a second person to help you with the mounting on the wall. I am overall very pleased with the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Mr Cool! I replaced an old electric furnace in my garage with the 18k unit. The DIY model was as advertised...very easy to install. I finished on a 95* day in July, shut the garage and fired up the unit. Within 2 hours the humidity was gone and the temp was 76*. Unless you have an electrical background like me, you only have to hire an electrician. I now have heat and AC in my 3-car garage running off only 20 amps....compared to the 90amps of the old beast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, quiet, economical Installed a DIY 24K MrCool fall of 2017, flawless operation both heating and cooling modes ever since. Installed a DIY 18K MrCool at my other place four months ago and is working as well as the other one. Haven't used it in cooling mode yet. In both installations the indoor unit was a struggle to hang onto its mounting bracket. It has to slid down onto the metal tangs and I and my helper just had to keep trying until it seemed right. Otherwise not too hard to install.

After reading other online reviews, and researching the installation process, I purchased a MRCOOL 18 K Mini-split system for my remodeled attic. The installation instructions were through and it took us about 4 hours to complete. The unit now quietly cools and heats the attic comfortably! Saved me lots of money installing it ourselves. No real need for a costly HVAC 'expert'.
