Seamless transition
Well, the old one was working just fine and now so is the new one. Being on a fixed income I'm not a fan of forced upgrades that aren't in my budget but that's not Netgear's fault. Just a sign of the times.

Good Support (word filer)
I had some difficulties getting the modem to work (due entirly to the cable company) and the support group was very helpful. Since installation the modem has worked perfectly.

Working well!
The new DOCSIS 3.1 modem is a definite improvement over the 4 year old DOCSIS that I had. Easy to Set up. Much better for Zoom and YouTube streaming.

Works Find for My Internet Needs
I was appreciative that Netgear sent me an email letting me know it was time to update my router with a link to ensure I was getting the correct one that worked with Xfinity. Setup was easy and it’s working fine. Internet connection is good. No issues so far.

My new DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem (CM1000)
I am a 71-year-old who is better at technical stuff than my husband, but was a bit concerned about adding this new modem to my former router. It was quite easy to set up and then when I contacted my Internet provider online via an app, it automatically connected my Wi-Fi. I was happy there were no glitches. My husband notices how fast the connection is compared to our former modem.

CM1000 Cable Modem
The modem was surprisingly easy and quick to set up and activate using the Xfinity app on my smart phone and the MAC address on the modem label. It took just a few minutes and has been working well.

Netgear modem DOCSIS 3.1
Modem was easy to set up. The only stumbling block was that there should have been more emphasis on the fact that my internet provider needed to be informed that I have a new modem and my account needed to updated to reflect that fact. This was an arduous process because I had to resort to these dumb chat services. What was finally accomplished could have been accomplished in half the time or less if I could've actually TALKED to Xfinity support. Otherwise the modem it self runs effortlessly as did the previous Netgear modem.

Easy replacement for old modem
I purchased the modem after getting an end-of-life warning for my previous NETGEAR modem -- and a nice discount. It was literally a drop-in replacement. Moved the cables over, gave Xfinity 15 minutes to provision it, and I was back online I'm getting about 150mb/s more on speedtests with the new modem than I was with the old one.

Fast and Easy Setup
The Netgear CM1000v2 is very easy to set up. The instructions included with the product are clear and helpful. After providing the serial number and MAC address to my service provider, activation was quick and seamless. I ran a speed test afterward, and the results were impressively fast! I’m very happy with this cable modem — it’s reliable, fast, and a great value overall.

Very helpful and pleasant
I bought an hooked up to the Netgear 13 equipment. Contacted my provider for their hook up. Waited for system to link , then verified with a call to Netgear for their account verification and all is good. I only did this per my provider to help in dropping the cost on my monthly billing from Asound broadband.
