I love the app. It’s so easy to use and I have all my lights, cameras and security devices hooked up to it. I get notifications when I’m not home or on vacation which is really nice. I can be out of the country but still know what’s going on at my house. Definitely gives me piece of mind. The alarm kit goes above and beyond what the doorbell camera and lights do. It’s nice to know if my windows or doors are disturbed while I’m not home. I’d definitely recommend all ring products! Got to stay safe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves having this ring alarm set. It gives us peace of mind while we are away and sleeping. We know that if someone were to break into our house, the alarm would instantly notify us. This set includes a base station, a keypad, four contact sensors, a motion detector, and a range extender. The contact sensors work on both doors and windows. The range extender does a good job. We have one of our contact sensors on our basement door and our detached garage building's door. Without the range extender, both of these doors were too far away from the base, but with the range extender, it reaches them without a problem. The motion detector is very nice to have. We ended up putting it outside by our front door (where it is protected from the elements). My four-year-old snuck outside one day. I was very grateful that the motion detector alerted me. The alerts can go through your phone and the base station. The app has so many different settings. My husband installed everything, but he didn't have any issues. The instructions were clear and easy. The base was the most "difficult" thing to install, but even that wasn't hard.

Great Starter Alarm Kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had an alarm system for my house before. I have only had security cameras before so this kit was perfect for me as a beginner and it would be great for even people who have been using alarm systems for a long time. This kit was not too confusing or difficult for me to set up even with me usually being someone who is not very tech savvy. There is no drilling required for this system which made it easy to set up. The contact sensors can be used for windows and doors and I can always get more to easily add to it. I already had security cameras that also work in sync with this system. I was already using the app with my cameras so I was able to quickly add this system in the app. If you are using the app for the first time it will also be easy for you to set up.
If you are just starting out or adding to an existing system, this kit is absolutely a great addition that is easy to use and will give you some peace knowing that your home will be secure and instantly get notification if someone was to invade your property and that is well worth it!

So easy to install Alarm System
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great system and it is so easy to install on your own and no tools were needed. You have everything you need to protect either 4 doors or windows or a combination of both. I love that I can access the alarm system right from my phone so I can see what is going on at all times. The best part is Alexa so I don't even have to go to the keypad I can just speak the command or if I forget to alarm the system I can go straight to the app and set it. Such a great system to give you a piece of mind.

Gets the job done.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to feel a little more secure. It helps. When a window is opened, I hear a beep. The same goes for the door. I find this great for the door because now I know when my teen opens the door. There shall be no sneaking out. It is like a hidden babysitter that I don't have to pay weekly. Everything is going smoothly. I've been using this for about a month. I will ultimately get more pieces to grow my system. I love that you can add on to the system to customize it for your own personal needs. I do not have the paid subscription yet but I feel that it is well worth the money and plan to obtain that very soon. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a customizable home security system while on a budget.

Monitor it all from my Phone

Synching the kit with the app and getting everything set up was fairly easy. I took my time installing the sensors in the perfect locations so I would have the most coverage. Now I have peace of mind that when we are away my home is protected. And I can check it all from the app on my phone no matter where I am.

A MUST HAVE!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ring alarm home security system is definitely a must have. I feel so much safer after putting this in my home. When I first opened the box I thought it was going to be a lot of work and difficult to install. I was very surprised at how easy this was to install and operate. The instructions are very easy to follow and if you need any help they have a 24/7 helpline.
This kit comes with a base station, keypad, motion detector, range extender and four contact sensors. I was able to install the contact sensors on four of my windows and I put the motion detector in my hallway. I really like that I get real time notifications the moment an alarm is set off. I even saw that I can add a security camera or video doorbell to this alarm system so I definitely will be doing that soon. I really like that the keypad is large and the numbers are easy to see. I also like that you can choose between professional monitoring or self monitoring. Another great thing about this system is that it works with my echo device.
This alarm system is truly a must have. Being able to have a peace of mind knowing that my home is protected when I am there or not there is the greatest feeling ever. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ring is already known for consistency and quality, but I have to tell you I was even more impressed with how well thought out this alarm system is. It comes with the base station, keypad, contact sensors, a motion detector and range extender. We chose the 8 piece because we have a lot of windows on the first floor and 3 doors. Easy setup, we read the instructions which were easy to follow and installed the base unit, sensors, motion detector and extender. You just affix with no tools required and plug it in to get going. You have options of professional monitoring or just personal monitoring. It works easily with other Ring devices such as the doorbell and flood light. The system is customizable for the level of monitoring for if you are home, asleep, away, or off. The Ring App is easy to setup or add devices and easy to use. You receive real-time notifications if any sensors are triggered, it has a 24 hour battery backup and an option to backup to cellular.
It has truly brought me peace of mind when we are away or my husband is traveling. I cannot say enough good about this product, we love it!

Safe, secure and great technology!

The equipment arrived packaged perfectly, with easy and simple instructions. All tools and items necessary to install are included. In less than an hour, we had our doors and windows secured. The interface with the app is so easy and all the settings are customizable. We are very happy with our new system and feel much safer.

I feel so safe!

I have a huge window to make the place feel bigger, but it worried me at times because at any time someone could break in. This Ring Alarm Kit has made me feel so much better about being on my own and having that huge window. I tested everything out and it worked perfectly! I love how easy everything was to install and how convenient it is for me to just pick up my phone and check everything out. I love this product so much

I like the inconspicuous contact sensors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would advise anyone who buys the Ring Alarm system to thoroughly read the instruction manual, lay out the products and accessories before starting. Installation will go smoother if you are familiar with the manual, products and accessories.
The instruction manual is very helpful and it guides installation step by step from beginning to end. The instruction manual during set up mentions the Base Station will need to update the software when it connects to the internet. I would suggest connecting to the internet via an Ethernet cable to the modem instead of using WI-FI. This will speed up the software update to the base unit.
Once the Base Station has been set up the rest of the installation will go very quickly.
The white contact sensors and white motion detector is a breeze to install and are inconspicuous. When each sensor is installed verification is performed to ensure the sensor is working.
The Ring Alert product has great features such as being able to purchase additional products, like contact sensors. The Base Unit and Keypad contain audible settings for volume of chimes/tones. Different audible chimes/tones can be selected for each door entrance into the home. Even if you choose not to have your home monitored by a third party, the system is still functional for home monitoring. Home monitoring without a third party will still allow alerts to be sent to your cell phone.
I would recommend this product to anyone.

Easy to Install and Use! Recommend!

We never thought that we would install or use a security system, but the Ring Alarm is so easy to install and use that we've been turned. The Ring Alarm system can easily notify when doors are open or opening, pick up system faults, and seamlessly integrate with other Ring devices.
Setting up and installing the system took less than an hour with intuitive step-by-step instructions provided by Ring in the app. While the entire kit looked off-putting, the app and packaging made it more accessible and not as off-putting.
To date, the system works well without any issues. We're able to turn it on when leaving the house, and don't have any major issues to report.
For DIY-er's and those looking for a starter security system, the Ring Alarm is a great choice that we highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8 piece alarm set is awesome! The setup is quick, easy and requires minimal tools. The sensors all have extremely strong sticking pads and with a quick clean of the wall/door surface, they stick solid. The main alarm box plugs into a wall outlet for power but also has Ethernet cable capabilities. Once it's plugged in, it's as simple as placing your sensors in the desired locations and pairing them to you phone in Ring app. The alarm is LOUD and sure to get your attention from any room! Im pretty confident it could resonate through any reasonable size house without problem. The keypad that's included could either be wall mounted or carried, which is a pretty cool feature also. If you're looking for a suitable, simple home security system and you have Ring already, I definitely recommend!

Fantastic

This is great!

Got 8-piece kit to start with. Before installing watched a couple of videos, just to know what to expect. There is a guy out there, claiming "installing in 15 minutes" - nonsense. Most people will need a couple of hours (I needed over three) for the first time installation. Sure, second time around (for a friend or another property) might take less.
In addition to what is in the kit box, you will need a drill (the very basic one will do), Phillips screwdriver, step-stool or ladder (motion detector is recommended to be 7.5 feet above the floor) and 2 additional screws if you decide to hang base unit on the wall.
For me, most of the time was spent deciding as to how position the contact sensors on the doors and windows. Our house is almost 150 years old with many original features. As a result, all doors/windows are different. I was afraid that contact sensors might not work at all (and was really bummed out), but they DO work. The biggest help was Ring's official site, where they have a lot of photos of customers' installations. It really helped to figure out possible positioning.
The rest was very straightforward. At one point had to call their customer service (my fault) and they were wonderful, friendly and helpful. So, if you feel stuck, do not hesitate to ask for their help.
The app is well designed and very helpful, really liked it. We are still testing various things, but it all seems great. Like that even when the system is not armed, there is a chime every time a door/window is opened. It is not loud, but clearly audible and is great help if there pets or family members who might open a door without need. Good additional safety feature.
The light on the base unit is quite bright, so I suggest you put it where it will not interfere with sleep. Or, even better, where you might want a nightlight (it has to be plugged in at all times).
Really think trough where you want your sensors. After the protective film is removed, you may be able to move them once, while adhesive is not set, but I think not more. So figure it out beforehand.
The only thing I do not like is the color, stark white. They look fine and are not awfully obtrusive, but I do wish they were offered in dark and light beige, to blend in better.
I will attach several photos, maybe they will help someone with unusual doorways. ALL positions on the pictures attached do work (we tested).
Great technology, like it a lot. Now we are thinking about adding more items (additional contact sensors, cameras for outdoors and so on). Really wonderful product!

Great features

It was easy to instalI and set up it literally took an hour. The keypad is big and useful and holds a charge for months. I've had 1 issue and contacted customer service which is by far the friendliest I've dealt with in months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our 8 piece Ring Complete Home Security system a couple weeks ago..Inside this box you will find very detailed installation directions and 4 contact sensors for windows or doors..1 motion detector that will alert to motion inside your home..the range extender that helps with distance on the Z-wave wireless network ...the key pad for your hands on control...and your base station..that connects all your alarm devices...plus needed adapters...
Our home is covered by Ring inside n out we use the app and professional monitoring..but this set we chose to use self monitoring for our newest family member that happens to be an autistic wandering 9 yr old..and so far it has worked like a charm and added much needed sleep in this house..Ring offeres piece of mind in all their products and we as a family highly recomend Ring!!!
