I had to wait and wait and wait, with my Firestick. If you comepare the two units. FIRESTICK FAILS. There is absolutely no comparison. I love my new firestick and will be buying another soon for my other tv,s. Get one now, you won't be sorry.

Love my Roku
I’ve now bought 4 Roku sticks for my home and one as a gift. I still use Roku even though I have smart TVs. I love the wallpapers, themes, and screensavers-smart TVs don’t have those! Good app options and I rarely have problems. Roku is the only streaming stick I’ll ever buy again.

Increased WiFi speed
WiFi performance/speed has increased on this new model, I didn't have any issues with speed on my older Roku's but impressed with the 10 fold increase in speed. I've also noticed on streaming programs the 4k video appear much better images making watching nature video's more enjoyable.

This is now our 4th ROKU Streaming Stick 4k. I can't say enough about this device. The ease of setting up, the quality of the device, The voice search feature is a fantastic bonus. The incredible variety of streaming channels available and the fact that it is all free! Sure, you can also subscribe to various streaming services with your ROKU Streaming Stick 4k but with the hundreds of free choices available it isn't necessary.

I've been using a Roku for about 10 years. Recently I bought a new Roku stick for another TV in my home. My old Roku would not bring up Netflix, so I moved the new Roku stick to my main TV and it's great. More features and Netflix works now.
