Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little snow blower I held off making a comment until I had the snow blower through a Minnesota winter. The 48v Snow Joe is not designed for over 12" of snow, or slushy ice on the bottom or wet snow on top. But it did quite well in both types of snow storms. The little machine took a beating last winter. It through ice chunks, river rock that accidently got in the path with no damage! I took it through such thick snow the safety switch would trip. I raised the handle again pressed the button and kept giving it a beating. It kept going until the battery drained 25min later. I am totally impressed how well this cleared my driveway, sidewalk. Our winters can be quite nasty but with some effort the 48v 20" did a really nice job. I am a senior citizen and not a strong young guy. This blower is well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made my life so much easier [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This snow blower is a beast. I was hesitant about it being electric but it performs better than my existing snow blower and the batteries last a very long time. I love how it doesn't wake up my neighbors in the morning too. Plowing snow used to be a chore but this has made it a breeze!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Came In Handy!!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With me stay in Ohio I can say that the Snow Joe 24V-X2-20SB 48-Volt iON+ Cordless Snow Blower Kit has came in handy. In the pass two weeks I have been able to put the Snow Joe snow blower to work. I love that it comes with 2 x 4.0-Ah Batteries and Charger which makes your run time longer. It runs so smooth and has so much power. I recommend the Snow Joe 24V snow blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This Snowblower I'm in the middle of the 4th snowiest winter on record in Minnesota. This blower works better than my 2-stage 6 1/2 HP gas blower. I've cleared up to 8 inches of snow easily on our two car driveway. I've noticed that some of the reviews say that it stops running. It will stop running if it cannot handle the load or if the propellor gets jammed. Back it up. Make sure it's clear and try again. I like that it's very quiet. The batteries have easily lasted for out snow-blowing needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new snow buddy!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not only helpful and easy to operate…it’s fun!! We finally got enough snow her in New York State to try my Snow Joe out. It is so handy on or back deck and doesn’t scratch it while doing it little blowing. It’s easy to operate and the directions were the best step by step. We found that it’s also useful for our new stamped concrete sidewalk that we were nervous about shoveling on. The battery life is phenomenal. 20” is perfect for us!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, easy to put together [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first snow blower i ever owned. I never wanted to have to put one together as I always thought they were ginormous and hard to put together and operate. Well, this one is not! It took like ten minutes to put together, batteries had to be charged the night before, and it’s super easy to operate. Any girl can easily do this. It has lights on the bottom to use in the dark. You can fold it a little for easy storage. It’s perfect for a residential area and for sidewalks. Batteries (comes with 2, you need 2) last approx 45 minutes and then need recharged again. So you may need to buy additional ones if you have a bigger driveway. The on switch takes a few seconds to work after you push it to turn on for some reason. I tell ya, this is it if you want something quick and easy and light. I absolutely recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SNOW JOE [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this snow blower, it has the power to blow snow up to 20' and remove it completely from your parking lot or driveway. It is super easy to use and assemble with two batteries and a charger. The battery lasts up to 40 minutes. So You don't have to worry about cables or gasoline, it is super complete and very powerful to remove snow. Easy to turn on and it makes removing snow so easy and fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this. So easy to use and assemble. Charging is great doesn’t take long to charge. And the charge lasts long. Great quality and very durable. I’ve always wanted one and I love this if you’re looking for a great blower this is the one for you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy snow removal! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this snow blower doesn't use a cord. Although the battery time may not be the greatest for long runs, it works great for getting rid of the snow on our drive! The lights on it are so great for doing a nigh time run if that calls to you. I like how this gets right down to the ground and doesn't cause any damage. Overall, great value and works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! Easy to use and lightweight enough for a 72-year-old woman to use. Blows the snow way better than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Plucky Little Blower This blower surpassed my expectations. We had almost a foot of snow overnight before yesterday. The blower took it on and cleared our long uphill driveway with recharges after 40 minutes of full-on clearing. The only problem was the dual charger stopped working on one side, which meant charging each battery in turn on the side that worked. That doubled the recharge time. However the Snow Joe team answered the phone promptly and have shipped me out a new charger and a mailing sticker to mail back the faulty one. I would suggest one improvement- the knobs which tighten the handles need strong spring washers, as mine fell off and I had to use zip ties until the snow melts and I find the knob!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best product ever! I bought this snow blower in September and have just gotten to put it to work. I'm a 71 female and live in Vermont. We just had a storm with 6 inches of heavy wet snow. Could not believe how well this machine worked! I'm not exaggerating at all. A couple weeks ago we had about 3 inches of the wet heavy snow and it worked well too but I was extremely surprised at how well it worked today too! Batteries are easy to install, remove and charge. The 1st time the chute clogged with frozen snow so I wiped some wd40 onside the chute and had no problems today. Can't say enough about this snow blower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little snow blower Right out of the box it was near ready to go. Assembly was easy. Charging for the two 24-volt batteries was quick (~90 min). Each battery set (I have two) lasted me approximately 30 minutes. We had deep snow several times this winter and the batteries lasted for my 100-ft 2 car driveway and all of the walks and skirts for my house and my two neighbors. 90 minutes of charge later I was able to clear remaining driveways. And the best part is no gas and no maintenance. Very satisfied with this single stage blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great This is my 2d Snow Joe. My first was electric powered and lasted 9 years until I accidently ran over some rocks next to the driveway. I have only used this one this season so far. No issues. Batteries lasted a long time; did my driveway and sidewalks 3 times on one charge. Charge time is under an hour. LED lights are great for early morning/evening. No complaints or suggestions for improvement. I can do my 2-car driveway and sidewalks in under 20 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good unit for light snow [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this fully understanding that it will be much more light-duty than my large snowblower. When i got it and put it together I realized how right I was. That said, this little guy is GREAT for 1-4 inches of snow. It can probably handle even more as long as the snow isn't super dense and heavy. I do really like that this has lights on it. It is also pretty light and easy enough for the wife and kiddos to use should they be home when I'm not. I AM slightly concerned at the molded plastic "blades". We will definitely need to ensure that we don't get too close to the steps or curb with it as it looks like it could break. Overall, if you are looking for a small, easy to use unit for marginal snowfall less than a foot, you wouldn't do wrong by trying this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy and Convenient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is winter and that means that there will be snow. Nobody likes to be stranded inside because of the snow and this is where this snow blower comes in handy. It's great for small snow removal and also for large snow removal. Assembling this snow blower was very easy and only took a matter of minutes and it was ready to use. It runs great and is capable of running at night with the light located in the front of the blower and can be blown from both sides of it as well with the rotating blower on the top. Being rechargeable is important as well and the battery lasts for quite some time. This is so much easier than using a snow shovel and is easier on your body and taking a lot less time and energy. Whether you have a large job or small, this will come in handy and easily get you moving again. I absolutely love this blower, I cannot wait for the next snow to fall because I will be ready.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good in heavy snow above 7 inches I live in Colorado and own a 20 in Snowjoe snowblower I bought 3 years ago. The blower works ok in powder snow up to 12 inches. However March wet heavy snow makes the blower cut out even when moving slow in greater 7 inches of snow. Seems the electric motor overheats and I have to wait 15 minutes to restart even when I replace the two spare 24VBAT batteries. Also the motor has developed a high pitched noise recently. Could be the motor bearings. I may be buying a gas blower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad little blower Chute crank is way too tight, almost worthless. You just know it's going to break? Lights stay on all the time consuming precious battery power. Otherwise it works to remove snow from our back deck fairly well. Not very powerful and doesn't blow really far but it does clear snow. Needs light switch, better hook up to turn chute.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the Snow Joe Cordless Snow Blower Kit I am in the middle of the road with my thoughts on it. So far I have only been able to use it one time this season and it didn’t perform the best. It was a very heavy wet snow around 5 to 6 inches deep. You had to go over the same area multiple times to remove all the snow and see the cement below. This was a very tiring process and hard on the arms. Assembly was very simple to do. And replacing the batteries was a simple task as they are right on top under a lid. The snow blower has a 20” path of destruction and a 20’ throwing distance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery life Battery only lasted 20 minutes. Takes two hours to charge
Date published: 2022-01-29
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good in wet Snow! Less than 4" of snow, wet, and the batteries lasted maybe 20 minutes. Not sure this was a good purchase yet or not. But in Colorado in the spring all the snows will be wet. Maybe should have spent a little extra and purchased the bigger battery unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good for frozen snow So far the only time I've used it is when the snow froze. Does not work on frozen snow at all.
Date published: 2021-01-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works, kind of. Works OK for snow under 3 inches. Blade stops when hit by a stiff breeze. This is my 2nd unit amd they all seem to have the same issue. They work for about a day or 2 then they just randomly don't. You will push into snow and the blades stop. Doesn't matter how small the amount of snow either. Since the whole thing is made of plastic I think the button that you have to press in to start it comes loose and just no longer makes the connection to keep it running. I generally love their stuff but I can not recommend this snow blower.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from On second unit and still having issues The first unit I had developed issues when I used it for the first time and hit a rough spot on the sidewalk. It started making a clicking noise when running. Snow Joe was great about replacing it under warranty. I used the new one this morning on about 5" of snow, and it started cutting out even though I was not releasing the bar. Finally, it just stopped running altogether. I've had it warming up in the garage since then, and it still won't run. The batteries are fully charged. The LED lights are not on, either. It appears it's not getting power to anything.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It worked well for a few times It worked well for about 4 snowfalls (1.5 years). After that it just would not run anymore. Batteries seem to test out ok.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Bad Snow Shovel/Scraper that Flings Snow. This snow blower is just plain terrible. I was given this unti as an "upgrade" over my SB18 that died. I can't stand it. The all plastic blades don't touch the ground so the snow blower doesn't clear to the ground like my old one did. Instead of having rubber and steel blades helping pull it forward a little and clearing to the groud, It relies on you being able to push a plastic scraper along the pavement. If you run into even a tiny crack, or a ridge of ice, or even packed snow it gets stuck and you have to shove it hard to get it going. You're essentially shoveling, but the shovel throws the snow. My wrists and elbows were sore for a day after a 3" of freezing rain turned snowfall from having to constantly shove this thing through the littlest bit of frozen snow. The 20" width is kind of a lie as well. The blades are more like 15" wide, the rest is just plastic flaring that pushes the snow inward. Again, a glorified shovel. thre's alarge gap between the blades and the housing too that just lets the snow pack in. The gearing in the output chute is pretty bad too. Barely 1/8" of a turn of the crank results in a 90 degree turn of the chute. It's almost impossible to aim it where you want it. Buy some other model that's actually got the rubber edged blades and isn't almost impossible to push.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second Failed Blower - Electrical - Horrible Very disappointed. This review is not about the size or force of blower - you have to know what you are buying with that - I would say that the force/ability is actually impressive. This review is all about my units failing twice now within 3 years (one was replacement). Each time, there is some electrical/motor failure (nothing to do with batteries, have extra). Never been so troubled by a nonreliable item that I actually like when it works. I didn't expect this item to last 20 years, but more than two?!? Can you make a more reliable blower - please?!
