Overview
UX570 Digital Voice Recorder UX Series
With a high-sensitivity microphone, easy-to-use playback and over 159 hours of storage1, the UX570 series is a portable and versatile digital voice recorder that lets you record lectures, meetings and music in stunning quality.
Features:
Reduce background noise with Auto Voice Recording
Recording someone talking? Switch on Auto Voice Recording to optimize audio capture settings for vocal frequencies. The result is a purer recording with less background noise and a reduced chance of audio loss caused by unsuitable microphone settings.Get a better sound with Auto Music Recording
The Auto Music Recording optimizes audio capture settings for music frequencies. It reduces the impact of recording mistakes caused by wrong microphone sensitivity settings, and delivers crisp, high-quality audio.Capture distant or quiet sounds with S-Microphone
Now you can record those faint audio sources without capturing excessive background noise, thanks to the high-sensitivity, low-noise S-Microphone. Even the sound of birds twittering in the distance can be captured naturally and clearly.Wider, brighter recording LED
With the UX570 series, you won't worry about whether or not you're recording when you need to. The wider, brighter LED makes it easy to recognize when you're recording.Get to the point with Time Jump
Long-range skipping is simple, too. You can easily find the important sections of your meeting, seminar or lecture by using Time Jump to skip each 10% of the total playback time of a recording.Find what you need with minimal hassle
The UX570 series makes it easy to locate the playback point you need. Short-range skipping is a breeze with Easy Search, which enables you to go back 3 seconds or forward 10 seconds with the click of a button.Turn it up with Playback Normalization
Thanks to Playback Normalization, you can listen clearly even when you unexpectedly record low-level audio. It boosts your recording amplitude to the highest limit without compromising on sound quality.See clearly with a larger OLED Display
It's even easier to start, review or manage your recordings with more clarity on the large-screen display.USB direct connection for quick file transfer
Transferring files to or from your computer is fast and convenient. Just plug the UX570 series straight into a free USB port for an immediate connection - no USB cable needed.Thin, light and easy to carry
At just 4.05 " x 1.44 " x 0.48 " in size and approximately 1.69 oz in weight, the sleek UX570 series is both light and thin, meaning it can slip into your pocket and go wherever you go.Expand your memory with the micro SD card slot
With its 4 GB of built-in storage, the UX570 series can record up to 59 hours of MP3 at 128 kbps (STEREO). Plus, you can boost your storage with compatible memory cards. The microSDHC card will give you up to 32 GB of total storage, or a microSDXC card will give you an impressive 64 GB or more. What's in the Box:

Need a bit more time for full comment on UX579
I haven't really had a lot of chance to play with my new toy, so it is difficult to say at this tim point. The recorder arrived in a timely manner and in good shape. Thank you. I am pretty sure that I am going to lov this product going forward. Thanks

Excellent
I bought this little recorder to record my online courses. Its interface is simple and easy to use. Its recording functions (move fast forward and backward, repeat, bookmarks, etc) are well organised and you can trust it as device. Its weight is like a toy but you feel and see a very professional device. I'm very happy with it.

Great sound from internal speaker
I own many digital recorders from Sony, Olympus, and Phillips I use them for field recordings, Sony is by far the best. The TX and UX models are extremely good for what I do although the OLED displays are not visible outdoors in the daytime and hard on the eyes in the dark. A red display would be easy on the eyes in the dark and would not ruin night vision and maybe easier to see in the daylight.

Great sound quality with a few drawbacks...
I bought it a month ago and love it to record my thoughts and lectures that I can review at a later time. The recordings are crisp and clear. The downside is the flimsy UBS port to transfer files and recharge. I'm still trying to figure out how to rename the files!

Pretty good...
I bought this to replace another, older version, that I lent to someone and haven't seen since... I use this to record operative notes and an occasional thought or observation. I have not installed the organizing software, but I anticipate that it will be functional... here's my catch.... I want to be able to record, go back a few seconds (think dictation), play the info, and then resume the recording at the spot I paused it. Seems you can only review after you finalize the file. I them have a minimum of 2 files that I need to keep track of (there can be a pretty good time space in between the segments of the recording). Perhaps there's a way to append the first file with additional files in the software (I can do it in another program, of course), but I'd rather be able to go back and pick up where I left off. Kinda miss my old Olympus mini cassette - could record, listen, pick up where you were or record over with your thumb never leaving the device.

Loses date and time constantly
If the device ever loses charge, the date & time changes to year 2041 and I no longer know the date and time of my recordings. Sick of resetting the time.

FILES NOT DIRECTLY DOWNLOADABLE FROM DEVICE
The audio files are not directly downloadable from the device. The Windows File Explorer sees the folder but no the files and says there are no files in the folder. The sound software does show the files but you have to load it into the computer. I thought you could transfer the files directly from the device using Windows Explorer but you can't. Too many steps to download the files. You should be able to download directly from the device using file exporer.
