I love this machine!
Everything about this machine is wonderful except when it rinses the soap from the dish. Some soap runs down the face of the machine. The problem is not using too much soap, because I've tried it using very little and it still ran out. Today I added quite a bit of water to the soap, so that the cup was nearly empty and that solved the problem. Yes, the door is completely closed. Is there another solution?

Love our Speed Queen
We are loving our front load Speed Queen washer. It does a wonderful job of cleaning. I love all the cycles to meet our cleaning needs. The only thing I would change is to be able to select cold water temperature on the perma press cycle. I have to switch to the delicate cycle.

Should have went SQ years ago
WOW, i thought high quality washing machines went extinct years ago. Went with a competitor after my quality machine died years ago and was very disappointed with the short life span of the replacement. Did some checking and discovered SQ is like what the consumer products used to be. I really don't mind paying a little more for something if it's better and won't disappoint. The control panel screams HIGH QUALITY by the look and feel, and I like the power on self test (POST).

Had bought my wife an amana front loader during Covid (was only front loader we could find). It was awful. She fought it for 3 years then we decided on Speed Queen. It washes in one hour what took almost 4 hrs with the Amana. Great machine.

Extremely clean clothes/simple to use
I was very concerned with replacing a 1978 Frigidaire top load washer that washed clothes clean but used gallons of water. I also hear that most washers today are five years or less life cycles. I have several relatives that have Speed Queen washers that have been going strong for a long time. I am amazed how clean my clothes come out of this machine, how much lower my water bill is and how simple it is to use!

Excellent Clothes Washer
Our new front load SQ washer is the best washer we have ever owned or used (we've owned Kenmore, Whirlpool, Maytag, and Bosch washers). We were (pleasantly) surprised to see our clothes (particularly bath towels) noticeably cleaner using the SQ than when using our previous washer (using the same Costco/Kirkland detergent and same amount of detergent); the reason (our guess) is that the SQ uses more water while washing. The quality construction of the SQ washing machine is very apparent. Although the price of the SQ was higher than competing washing machines, we believe it was a worthwhile investment...you get what you pay for. Very pleased!

Love It!!!
Bought the matching pair of washer and dryer. Good grief I cannot believe how much I spent considering I came from my starter wringer washer and clothes line in the basement. The only thing I miss is the light in the washer. Sure beats fighting with my old pair that was 20 something old.

Excellent Clothes Washer
The various wash cycles deliver outstanding results. The control panel is simple and intuitive to operate and the clothes come out of the washer with fewer wrinkles than my previous washer. However, I don't like that the black gasket inside the washer leaves black marks on my white sheets even though I use the permanent press wash cycle.

It is possible to love a washing machine
I've had multiple Front Load Washing machines over the last 25 years. I'd never heard of Speed Queen until asking the last repairman what brand they would buy. This is the best kept secret. I don't think the clothes have ever been so clean. I appreciate there is more water in each load that actually gets the load completely wet. I tested the don't be afraid to pack it to the top as mentioned. I have a heavy king comforter that would never work in other brands. This unit handled it and said what else you got. Thanks Speed Queen

She loves it!
Honey was worried about machine not working well with so little soap and only 30 minute clean time. After a day of use she was so excited about the quality of the wash. She says only 30 minutes with so little soap and the clothes come out cleaner than old washer and almost dry.

Excellent choice!
It was time to replace our existing washer so we talked to the person who services them. Both my wife and I are retired and on a budget. We were interested in the most efficient and longest lasting machine on the market. Our guy recommended the front load Speed Queen washer. It was easy to use, has a large capacity drum, made in America and the best value for our money. The choice was easy to make!

Impressive Build Quality
I recently replaced my 21 year old front loader with a Speed Queen (FF7009WN). My old unit was not dead but it was getting old and tired so I'm hoping to get at least the same service life out of this new one. I was looking for an "old school" front load machine which uses more than a cup of water to actually "wash" clothes. That pretty much narrowed it down to only Speed Queen and I was NOT disappointed. If you're looking for the very best front loader to handle all your washing needs without wifi and other frills and gimmicks then this is the machine for you. If you want a fake stainless steel tub surrounded by a plastic outer tub and junk then go buy pretty much any other brand. If you don't believe me about fake stainless steel tubs go run a magnet inside any other washer machine tub and you'll find that it sticks. The internals of this machine is just as beautiful as the outside with real parts that won't fail as soon as the warranty expires, Speaking of warranty, the place I bought this Speed Queen didn't even bother to try and sell me an extended warranty because they said it's a waste of money. I almost fell for the cool wifi options out there and to make things easier by dumping the entire bottle of detergent inside and let the machine automatically do the dosing but these things just create more failure points on the appliance. I also see that the sizes are getting monstrous in washing capacities without increasing the dimensions of the unit - how is this even possible? Well I guess they skimp on the insulation and other important parts which increase longevity. Customer service is top notch with Speed Queen, I've called with questions during the busiest times but they always managed to call me back pretty fast. One last thing, can you imagine the mold growing from all the detergent those machines hold when you dump the whole bottle in it? I never had mold issues with my old unit so I expect to never have a problem my new Speed Queen since I never keep the door closed unless it's washing a load and I always rinse out the soap dispenser. If you follow these simple things you will never have any mold issues which seem to be a downside of having a front load washer. Take care of a Speed Queen and you will have it for decades. The guys who delivered mine told me that they remove old working Speed Queens from peoples homes that are 30-40 years old! That speaks volumes.
