Stayed with Sterns and Foster
After checking out several different brands of mattresses, including the highly rated Saatva, we chose a Sterns and Foster Firm Estate mattress. To be fair we had a similar S&F mattress for about 10 years. The new mattress is exactly the level of firmness that works for us. Once we gave it a short test, we were convinced.

Top tufting a problem
Unfortunately, although this is a good quality mattress, it is not for us and will be returned. The problem is the numerous "tufting' holes on the top which are very noticeable to us when trying to sleep. It is not something we realized when buying the mattress but became apparent with our first night. I think the quality of the brand is excellent, just not the top portion for us.

Horrible motion transfer and sinking
We purchased this mattress about 12 months ago. The mattress feels nice and supportive when you first lay down, but after an hour or two, we are sinking into the center. And the motion transfer is horrible. My hubs and I weigh in the mid 200’s so that could be part of the issue? I’m so sorry I purchased this mattress.

Stones and Foster beds suck
I am on my fourth mattress in six years. I bought a Stearns and Foster because I had one for 18 years and it was high-quality. I guess standards don’t matter anymore. Twice I had to pay money to have it exchanged even though it’s under warranty.

I’m not sure how hight you are. But I’m 6 feet and it’s hight enough for me. I can stand next to it and seat woth no problem.
