This P.A.L table is sturdy and strong!
I was skeptical at first about the table using P.A.L - I didn’t think it would be sturdy. I didn’t see how it could work. But I was totally wrong! I really like this accessory as it provides a solid resting place for the foods I’m cooking and the utensils I’m using. I like this table so much that I picked up the other P.A.L add-ons. You’ll like it too!

An Extra Hand
I have had my Ironwood 650 for several seasons. I have always wanted a shelf to assist me while cooking. When I saw a shelf was available I made a purchase. It was very easy to install, folds, and sturdy. I have used the grill every day and don’t know how I have gotten by without it.

Extremely Convenient
There's really not too much to review, it's a shelf, it's adds to the flexibility of taking things on/off the grill. Pop-and-lock makes it very easy to reposition, so I guess that's an added benefit.

Great Additional Space
I got this shelf as part of a bundle when I purchased my grill. I must say, the ability to set down a pan in order to place a load of hot smoked meats onto it is extremely more efficient than expecting my oldest daughter to hold the pan to the same 50lbs limit. It easily folds down for when you need better access to the cooking area or in order to store under the grill cover. Shelf can be raised and locked with one hand, but the reverse action is rather difficult.

Great shelf
Very nice looking and well-made shelf. Just one issue though: I opted to initially install it directly in front of the grill grates, like most of the photos on Traeger's website would suggest. This location works great for times the grill is open, but when the grill cover is closed, the handle of the cover creates an obstruction and significantly reduces the effective useable area of the shelf. If you move the shelf to either side of the handle, the obstruction problem goes away, but the symmetry of the grill's aesthetic is diminished. Nevertheless, I recommend this shelf.

It’s a Shelf!
It does it’s job. Holds item to aid you taking things out or in the Traeger and then folds neatly out of the way. Fairly easy to assemble, seeing that my first was did not have all the contents or instructions in the box. Once I made the switch, it was easy peasy

To close to handle when lid closed to put a dish on needs to be larger since it folds down or have two smaller shelves ones on each side would nice that you can move around or fold

Shelf needs to have more depth.
I bought this a month ago and it comes in handy for the most part. The only thing that should be changed, besides the extreme price to a light-weight shelf, is the depth of the shelf. The handle to the lid takes away a few inches and you loose valuable space. Put a pan on the shelf and you still have to hold it until you lift the lid then slide it back a little further to fully be on.

The one on the side is perfect
But the add on in the front
Would be useful if it was wider and a lot more sturdier
Put anything on the front shelf and it might end up on the ground, definitely any sauce will end up there .
Not worth the money we spent on it, definitely not up to traeger standards

Good idea however they need to make it more wide, I got the ironwood xl I'm smoking big cuts of meat and can't even fit them on the shelf effectively

Not Very Useful Shelf for the Ironwood XL
Too narrow and the Ironwood XL handle interferes with this shelf. You can barely use this shelf when the lid is open and definitely cannot rest food on this shelf with the lid closed. Only useful for spoons, cooking utensils, etc. For the Ironwood XL, you will use the side shelf on the left for platters, etc.. Wish I would have passed on this and waited for an improved version (hopefully Traeger is listening...)

Needs updating
Got this along with a Woodridge Pro. Of course NOW I know it's not compatible. I hope Traeger releases new mounts only for this so I don't have to buy another whole new one once they get this problem fixed. It attaches good to the rail, but the support underneath the rail does not push against anything so the shelf is very unstable. Mayble I'll just 3d print something that will work instead...

Xl shelf
I have a great idea.. how about you list the compatible grills on the box for the pop and lock shelf. I buy it in the store and realize as I lm trying to put in on that it won't fit. Then I notice that the traeger website says it is not compatible with the silverton xl model. Very frustrating!!!

DUH!
Bought this for my 780 Pro. Didn't come with any paperwork. After spending all day trying to figure it out I called support and they informed me it doesn't fit my smoker. I checked your website and nowhere does it mention this fact. Very disappointed. Please revise your website so no one else makes buys this.
