Hot and cold spots do not seem to be a part of having a grill any longer with a Weber especially compared to my old grill. Weber was especially helpful with issues I had with the valve manifold. This grill heats up insanely quickly and I love having the griddle option to expand what I'm cooking on it. I use my grill 2-3 times a week at a minimum and having the natural gas option means I'm never running out of fuel or having to change tanks at an inconvenient time. This grill is perfect for me.

It's absolutely worth the cost, but skip Ace Hardware's free assembly (their "pro assembler" never removed the protective plastic clearly marked "remove prior to assembly", so I had to disassemble and reassemble before using). The Sear Zone works as advertised. I've never grilled better steaks. Temperature control is versatile and predictable. I'm looking forward to preparing more meats and vegetables on this beauty for many years to come.

I also bought the optional griddle, which I haven't tried yet. The first thing I cooked was 10 pounds of hot wings and liked the way i could move the ones that get done first into the warming racks at the back of the grill. This replaced a Weber Platinum grill that was 17 years old and this was a real upgrade.
