I’ve had mine since the early 2000s. I used to be a chef and I am also the owner of a catering company. I use this at home. It’s just a big Weber, which means it has all the same quality as the standard Weber or the Smokey Joe. I wish I could get a baby Weber but I guess they don’t actually make those.

Will WOW your neighbors
I have been cooking on my Weber Ranch Grill for a few years and when I throw a few butts on or a few briskets I always have room to put another one on for all the neighbors. It’s so amazing to cook on!
I can put charcoal on both sides and I never get any flair ups. It’s so fun to cool on

Wonderful BBQ, charcoal grate could be improved
I've had this Ranch Kettle for many years. It stands outside, uncovered for years, all seasons, remains spotless. The way it cooks is amazing. Not only high quantity but quality as well. Here are some pointers or improvements for Weber to consider: I wish Weber made a cover for the Ranch Kettle for obvious reasons. The Charcoal Grate sags in the middle over time. Becomes bowl-shape. It's got to be the heat softening it and the weight of the coals exacerbated by the total width. Wondering if you added a vertical post for the middle of the grate in order to add support. Maybe larger holes in the bottom? What currently exists is the same as in the 22" model. These are minor points. I bbq approximately 3-4 times a week. I'm thrilled about the Ranch Kettle!

Great grill
This grill is as I envisioned. Besides that it came with some parts missing, I need to say that when I called customer service all was taken care and very fast. Putting the grill together takes time and patience but instructions were clear.

Great Smoker As Well
This is my second review. I have owned the ranch kettle for over 25 years and it's a 10. I forgot to mention in the first review that it's a great smoker. Although I only the 18" smokey mountain smoker, I often use the ranch for smoking. It's amazing !!! Just use the indirect heat with charcoal in about 1/4 of the grill and use the Minion method. Can't go wrong.

I love this grill!
This product is the biggest charcoal kettle grill I’ve ever seen! I’m able to cook appetizers along with whatever main protein at the same time instead of having to grill everything separately! It’s a game changer for a bbq enthusiast such as my self!

Game Changer
This Is a game changer when it comes to cooking on kettle grills. I used to have to fire up two or three of my 22” kettles when I wanted to cook multiple meats at once. Now I only have to fire this one up. I’ve done 2 tri tips at once with 20 pieces of chicken thighs and then added zucchini and mushrooms at the end in a skillet pan. Everything fit perfectly.

Need parts counter
Love the grill should come with temp gauge but doesn't also need people who know how to count parts !!!!! Got two bags after the first was short the second was missing parts too! But manage to make it work with two bags.

Have cooked on Weber Charcoal Grills for a long time. Love the Ranch Kettle. Cooks just like all my other Webers, just a whole lot more room. 175° to 500° whatever you want.

most versatile
Disclaimer-only 74 years of grilling experience- we have had and still have a family of grills ranging from brick to 500 lb. capacity custom smoker; wood, charcoal ( Kamato Joe Big Block), gas and electric. Three we rank 5 stars for anyone who strives for " master grilling level" results. Our first Ranch dates to 1995, a second added 2019. For entertaining the Ranch is by far our most frequently used because of its size and versatile range of grilling cooking modes.

Best Grill Ever
I have 3 of the 22" Kettles. I bought the ranch kettle because I didn't have enough grill space for a Derby Party we had.
I have pulled many good racks of ribs off my 22" kettles. As a matter of fact, all my best meals had come off my 22" kettles.
So I wasn't surprised when ever rack was fall off the bone and delicious when it came to cooking on the Ranch Kettle. The picture below is after 2 1/2 hours on the rack before I wrapped them and put them back on. Best Ribs Ever.

Does it all
Love the grill you can cook small or XL, for my family of 6 I can cook enough BBQ to last us for a week. For long smokes use the snake method set the vents and walk away 13-15hrs this grill will hold 260 degrees the entire time

Outstanding Grill
I bought this grill 25 years ago. Still use it regularly year-round. It's built like a tank. I can easily cook 8 slabs of ribs or a ton of pulled pork when we entertain for larger groups of friends. I highly recommend it. I give it a 10 !

Amazing Grill! Extremely Versatile!
I recently added a Ranch Kettle to existing 22.5 Kettle and 22.5 WSM. We host several events per year where the 22.5 WSM shines; however our gatherings had grown too large for the capacity of the WSM.
Just like any kettle, the Ranch Kettle is an incredibly versatile grill. In a month of having it, I have 3 cooks on it; including a 4th of July party.
First cook was ribs (sorry no pics of set up). Not bad, I had to get accustomed to the vent/damper control. Ran a little hot, overall good ribs and easy to use.
2nd cook was wings and thighs (pics attached). Crispy skin and juicy meat; they were as good or better than any chicken I have made with my 22.5 kettle (with or without Vortex or Sear N’ Slow accessories). Temp control is very easy after 1st cook.
3rd cook was 4th of July (40 adults); 49-lb whole hog (head and feet removed to fit in cooking area), followed by chicken wings (no pic of wings, got too busy with hog). About 6 hours to cook the hog. Just before pulling it, prepped more hot coals. Removed hog to rest and added hot coals to bring up temp for chicken. 1 hour later, we had 50 whole wings with crispy skin and sticky pull off bone meat.
Suggestions: 1) Line bowl with foil, easy clean-up. 2) Make 2 charcoal baskets out of expanded metal. 3) Make a template of the cooking area so you know what will fit in the indirect area (see pic).
This is an amazing cooker. I highly recommend for anyone that needs to cook groups of 8 or more people.

Best Equipment Around
I bought mine in 2001.. a place was closing the doors and was able to purchase my Ranch Kettle for 228$ at 90% mark down. It’s been an awesome piece of equipment to use for many occasions.. I have 4 Weber’s in total 2 charcoal and 2 gas 3 burner..I highly recommend WEBER.. they’ll last a lifetime!

Excellent Cooker!
I own many Weber products and have not been dissatisfied in anyway. This cooker is an absolute beast. From smoking low and slow to searing at high temps this bbq does it all. Unmatched quality and warranty. Don’t read any more reviews. Just buy it.

Great for whatever you want to cook.!
I've had my Ranch Kettle for about 2 months now and wow what a grill ! I'm mainly using mine for smoking because of the size I can fit a couple of briskets on it no problem. I'm going for two turkeys this Thanksgiving and I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem . The one thing that I dont understand is why they dont build these grills with a thermometer. They also dont include any charcoal baskets. But all in all a very good investment. Very happy.

Nothing Beats Ranch Kettle...Nothing.
I have owned 2 Ranch Kettles so I think I know what I am talking about. Got this crazy idea to buy an offset firebox smoker thinking how cool it would be. Bought it, used it several times, and now I have gone back to smoking, grilling and cooking on the Ranch Kettle. I can do anything on that that you can do on a competitive grill.
Going to trash the smoker and chalk it up as a bad idea gone wrong!
