Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most excellent grill in existence I've had my Summit built in for like 6 months and it's legendary I have the griddle insert which takes up 4 of 5 burners but in combo with the broiler.. oh man is this great If you know how to properly season cast iron you're in for a treat The build quality and the tough look of the hood impressed guests regularly My concierge was awesome. Buy it if you can can afford It's the best Cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you can’t grill on this, quit! This grill is the real deal, and looks beautiful. A fine piece of machinery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top-of-the-line grilling experience Fantastic grill with great flexibility. The included Weber frame allows us to utilize the griddle and vegetable basket which really enhances our outdoor cooking possibilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep on Grilling My husband and I are beyond excitement with our new Summit FS38 S Gas Grill. We love all the new features and we are so excited to continue our love for grilling on our Weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Summit FS38 We have a Weber Summit S-670 that we've had for some time and enjoy very much. We purchased the Summit FS38 for our home at Tahoe and like it very much. It's probably superior to the S-670

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Grilling As good as the last summit I purchased 20 years ago. Hoping the support for this grill is as good as the support for my previous grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10+ year old Summit I have a 10+ year old Summit that I probably cook on at least 3x/week. I have never used rotisserie feature but it’s there if I need it. The 10 year warranty is great. Weber has replaced my hood due to corrosion and Aldo burners. Just sent me parts and I installed. Running on propane. I use the side burner to deep fry and to also cook bacon so it doesn’t stink up the house. Love Weber and wouldn’t buy any other brand. You get what you pay for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick to get to temp, easy to hold temp steady I used my Weber FS38 S Gas Grill to cook ribeyes on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised that there was no "new grill learning curve". I was able to adjust the gas output on the 5 burners to hit 425 and maintain that temperature while I cooked the different cuts to the perfect internal temperature. The grill heated up quickly, especially for it's size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FS38S LP Grill - A big Beast The grill heats up real quick. I like the large grilling area. I haven't tried the broiler and rotisserie yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second Summit I retired my first Summit after 14 years even though it was still going. I like my new Summit even better since it’s bigger and has more features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy successor to my old Weber Summit Excellent grill. I replaced my 20 year old Summit with the FS38S and while the old grill had a total of 9 burners, the new grill has great new features like built in rotisserie, top sear burner and lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Newly Purchased Summit Grill The many options to grill/cook meat, fish, chicken e.g. makes this grill the perfect for year round cooking. Well build with high quality & temp control has improved vs my previously purchased Summit grill. Would recommend the Summit gas grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New summit grill - consider an older model The grill has nice upgraded safety features. The gauge of the metal is definitely thinnner than my previous summit from 12 years ago. The lid is a bit heavy and would be nice if it had a counter weight system or hydraulic hinge. The grease collection system was much better on the older system grill. The new summit has a flimsy coat hanger type of wire to hold the grease tin. Horrible design. The grill grates are still nice and heavy. The utensils holders are cheap clips compared to the fixed knobs that were on the older grill style. The new summit isn’t worth 4K.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Summit FS38 Most versatile grill I’ve ever owned. I bought all of the accessories and they work perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Summit FS38 Super Fan!!! This is my second Summit in about 12 years and the improvements are awesome. No complaints with my old grill, just left it with our old house as it was time for a new one. I have used it a 1/2 dozen times this far from burgers, ribs, chicken, and kabobs. All fared great! The large knobs and precise heat control are unmatched. Can’t wait to use the broiler and rotisserie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Grill Overall The Summit FS38 cooks pretty good, and overall, the quality is excellent. I originally had preferred the smart version which was unavailable, but was told that if the smart screen failed, I could not grill with it. So I went with the non-smart version. I wish Weber had a smart version with knobs in case the smart screen fails. It moves around pretty good with the casters. I'm glad this one has four wheels, unlike the Searwood, which you have to push around like a wheelbarrow since that only has two wheels. I haven't tried any of the accessories yet, but will do so soon. It has plenty of cooking space for most foods, and I am happy that it came with a rotisserie. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cadillac of Grills [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is the Cadillac of grills. The assembly was easy. The grates are heavy duty. The lights make it easy to cook at night. Cooking on the grill is a breeze. The heat was distributed evenly throughout the grill. Cleaning the grill afterward was easy. The grease catcher made it easier. The rotisserie worked amazing. The pizza was perfection. I need to get lessons to cook on such an amazing grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly an outside kitchen [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grill is incredibly well built. It had a very solid feel and the materials feel heavy and durable. It was easy to put together with clear instructions. I love how well thought through every aspect of this grill is. For example, like a fuel gauge so you know how much propane you have. The knobs light up and also there are internal lights on the hood so you can see what you are cooking as the evening wears on. Such a thoughtful feature, as the hood light works like a fridge and only turn on when you open the hood, saving you power. The rotisserie stores away on the back nicely. The grill really lets you enjoy the warmer weather. That to the side burner and the special grate system you can cook everything outside. Which means no one has to stay behind inside to make sides ect. The broiler and the sear station gave me the best crust I have ever achieved on a steak. My wife has some dietary restriction, but this grills gives some many options, such as using a wok. We have a tradition of pizza and wings for movie night. Now we can make pizza outside and do wings in a basket mount of the rotisserie. This grill is like an outside kitchen, you can make anything you want and everyone can we outside, no one has to babysit side dishes in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you’ll ever need to cook outside!!i [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Weber Summit FS38 gas grill is everything you will need to cook outside. Assembling the grill wasn’t too bad, but the directions may be confusing to some. You definitely need at least one person to help with a few of the steps. The grilling area is huge, and the heat distributes evenly with the 5 burner design. Some of the added bonus features is the rotisserie, which I haven’t had a chance to use yet, but will in the near future. The spindle stores nicely in the back of the grill, and the mechanism that turns the rotisserie, flips down in on of the side shelf’s for easy storage. There is also a smoke box that you can put wood chunks in to get the nice Smokey flavor with some of your meals. Once again, this stores easily under the grill. My favorite feature is the infrared broiler that is mounted to the top of the grill. This allows you to crisp the edges of your meats, but leave the inside exactly how you want it. This feature is great for beef tips. We are also getting the pizza stone and the griddle top, but we haven’t received them yet. The grates come out easily, and these two accessories should fit in perfectly. I will do a separate review on them when they do come in. There is a burner on the side which is convenient for whatever else you need to cook that you can’t cook on the grill. The temperature gauge is spot on, as I used a separate gauge, and they were exactly the same temp. Some of the luxury features are the stainless steel grates, that clean easily, the tank gauge, which weighs the tank and tells you how much gas you have, and the soft close doors on the bottom. The warranty is better than any grill I have ever owned. Overall, this grill is everything you need to have a great party, and will satisfy your cooking needs on a daily basis. My family and I will enjoy the Weber summit for many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only grill you’ll ever need. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Weber Summit FS 38 five burner natural gas grill is amazing. I’ve never seen a grill like this before. It’s extra large size allows you to grill for a larger quantity of people. It offers a rotisserie, which fits several large cuts of meat as well as multiple chickens. There’s also a top down broiler, which makes amazing steaks. it also has a side burner to use for a variety of things such as sides, sauces, Abels and Moore. If you plan to do any late night grilling, the grill also has built-in back, lit LED lights. There’s also a scale to let you know when it’s time to change your propane tank. we use this last weekend and were able to cook for over 10 people and had plenty of room to spare. The grill has everything you’re looking for and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weber Summit FS38E [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is impressive. It’s quite heavy and large, but it appears to be built to last a long time. I’ve cooked steaks, chicken and ribs on it so far and the heat evenly distributes and cooks everything perfectly. The grates are heavy and made out of steel and with a grate cleaner, they appear to be cleaned well. I haven’t used many if the features yet, but the warmer weather is upon us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing do-it-all grill [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is a total powerhouse! Have the top down broiler, the side burner, and the built-in rotisserie has made our meals gourmet quality. We’ve grilled veggies, a pizza, and pork tenderloin so far and everything was next level delicious! This is a bigger sized grill so you need to have adequate space. Some assembly was required but it was very easy to put together with just me and my husband.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect bbq [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The durability and assembly of the bbq was great - my son worked quickly and the unit was ready to go. The heat distribution was very good, my burger was cooked to perfection. Cleaning the bbq was quick and easy…. the cooking performance is like no other, looking forward to using it again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Webber Summit I wanted to wait a little bit before writing this review. First off, thank you Webber for honoring my warranty claim for my ten-year-old Summit with the fire box burned through. The new Summit grill is a beast! I like the larger cooking surface that a portion will be used for the griddle insert. The Rotisserie works great for a whole chicke. I am looking forward to trying a big hunk of red meat on it. The infrared searing took a little bit of getting used to as it points straight down compared to the older summit that was mounted at more of an angle. It’s been great so far for putting a final sizzling touch for steaks and it toasts garlic bread great. You just have to watch it carefully. I love the larger working surfaces and the utility rods for hanging your tools. Now for the not so good. I used my old Summit extensively for cooking/smoking ribs, briskets, pork butts etc. The smoker box for the old Summit sat down in its own slot and was great for producing smoke. The new smoker box is much larger and doesn’t sit down in its own slot. It just sits on top of the grate. It has been difficult to get any type of smoke to generate from this new smoke box in that the wood chips will just dry out (despite ample soaking time) and worse the wood chips have caught on fire creating what I consider a hazard. I have not had any luck on the Webber site regarding how to properly set up the smoker box. All and all, I am happy with the new Summit and I am confident it will give me years of trouble-free use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes a lot to assemble, but culinary grade results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have not used the rotisserie set up, which is automated. But we did a try run to make sure the motor works and it functions like the rotisserie in a com sexual setting. We will definitely be using it since we love rotisserie chicken. That being said, we have used this grill a couple of times to make steak and they turned out restaurant style quality with no effort and much better than on our prior generic home improvement store grill. So to say we are impressed with this grill is an understatement in terms of resulting dinner quality. The grill is high grade, seems durable (we have only had it for about a month), but all material is well cut and fits perfectly. The only reason we gave it four stars is that it takes a long time to assemble. The first image is after about an hour of two adults removing the cardboard shell and using heavy knives for cutting carpet to cut the packaging and making it fit into trash cans. You better plan to have two pickups of recycling bins dedicated to the cardboard associated with the packaging of this grill. In addition, the inside is filled with set up like the rotisserie pieces, side extension grill, and other parts. I would say total set up time, over a couple of weeks, was maybe 5+ hours; and again best have two adults to be involved. And you do need three people (healthy adults) to put the casters on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Webber Summit FS38 Grill is great, but quality is disappointing at the price. Fit of a couple pieces didn't align. The adhesive used for protection seems to have marked the stainless steel as well.
Date published: 2024-04-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good grill, but not a great experience Has all the features and capability one would expect from a top-of-the-line Weber grill, but I cannot give it 5-stars due to clear QC, packaging, and shipping issues: 1. There are cut lines (shallow gouges?) in the stainless along the edges of where every piece clear packaging film was attached. These are not "buffing out" and it is taking aggressive scrubbing to even begin to remove them. 2. The advertisement sticker on the outside right shelf left a lot of very hard to remove residue after removing 3. One hinge pin (and the cotter pin that should have kept it in place) for the top was loose inside the packaging and caused me to think I had been shipped a defective unit (it was trapped underneath the feet in the box!) 4. One screw was detached from the top hinge on the right door, causing the door to wildly swing open - this was also loose inside the shipping box. 5. 2 of the burner igniters were not locked in properly causing the 2 left-most burners to not ignite (except with manual flame or via adjacent burners) - I was able to fix this by comparing them to the other 3 burners. One non-packaging issue would be that igniting the infrared burner is a huge pain. I understand the thermocouple needs to be sufficiently warm for the gas to stay open, but holding the knob down (and listening to the sparker) for 30s (at least)? And then maybe it will stay on? It feels extremely awkward.
