Pleased So Far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good! I have had my laundry center for about a month now and I really like it. Some commented that it is loud, but I don't find that to be the case. The only time I find it to make any "significant" noise is when the washer is draining, and of course there's going to be some noise with a pump running. However, I close to laundry room door and it just becomes a bit of a murmur and only for a minute or so while that pump runs. Otherwise, both the washer and dryer are quite quiet. I find the capacity perfect for me. I can easily wash a full set of queen size sheets without feeling like I need to cram them in. Some have also mentioned that they don't like the dryer lint trap. Is it a bit different, sure, but it catches lint fine and is easy to use. I can see where the access (inside at the back of the dryer) could be a little difficult depending on your height. Is it a relatively basic machine? Yes. Does it have a huge capacity like a separate washer and dryer? Of course not. If you are ok with those things and looking for a compact unit that works well, I would recommend this one.

I just worked part time, maybe 20 hours to get install completed on 12/31. all the work done myself and I'm 82 years old. Easy job. However up and down stair to change from basement laundry to first floor was more than I anticipated.

In my new home, there is a large closet/storage room with enough room for one of these. It fits just right. I do wish the dryer was about five inches high so I don't have to crouch to get clothing out of the wash tub. Otherwise, it's a nice combination appliance for this 62 yo retiree.

Thorough Cleaning & Drying; Runs Quietly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old gas-powered Thin Twin washer/dryer (different brand) finally dried its last load. As part of our "electrification via attrition" plan, we reconfigured our circuit panel and added a new 240v line so we could replace the old unit with this electric Whirlpool Thin Twin (one of the very few models that fit in our small laundry closet). It runs so quietly, and does a thorough job both washing and drying clothes. I almost always set water temp to "Tap Cold," and Normal Dry so it stops when the clothes are dry. The washer lacks a Load Size setting (small, medium, or full), but we almost always run full loads anyway.

The Replacement Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer is a replacement unit for our old Whirlpool stackable which we used for over 10 years. The old unit was in the home when we purchased it and not really sure how long the unit worked fine. Our old unit was still functioning properly when we purchased our most recent new Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer however we could tell it was wearing down with drum noise in the washer. We decided to upgrade before our old unit quit on us.
