We bought the house in 4/2024. The original microwave button would stick and not want to open. After a few months, I contacted Whirlpool and they took care of a replacement without any hassle. I did have to wait for a date for the new appliance install but the switch was taken care of quickly and professionally. We received a brand new appliance that works perfectly.

Functions Well, Hate the stop button feature

Functions well...... but that new feature to stop the microwave while it is running is annoying. I have tried to disable it, which it says I can, but I have had no luck. It appears the days of opening the microwave and it stopping on its own is no longer an option.

The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because of the requirement to hit stop and unlock before the door will open. Therefore, you cannot pause to stir and the pickup where you left off. You have to reprogram the time.

Overall Very Happy with our Purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave and the associated trim kit a week ago. I was replacing a 700 watt Wolf microwave above our Wolf oven. The installation was straightforward, but I did have to modify (make smaller) the opening because the Wolf trim kit was much larger. The power (1200 watts) is a welcome feature. It heats up things much faster than the Wolf. The only complaint that I have is that you cannot enter an number of minutes/seconds (there are no number buttons). Everything is done in either shortcut buttons (1 min, 2 min, etc.) or hit the Start button for 30 seconds and then hit the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the time.

Buttons work and lights are on but door does not open. Now I go register product for warranty and then I am told we will have a new one by December 13th. I try not to be harsh on reviews and on people but I seriously hope this date came be pushed up by a long time so we can actually utilize a microwave.

Terrible quality
I was extremely disappointed with this microwave. On the very first day of use, the button to open the door broke. The button is made from a very fragile material, and the quality is extremely poor. It feels like it wasn’t designed to withstand regular use. I expected much more durability from a product like this, but unfortunately, it failed to meet even basic expectations. Would not recommend this microwave to anyone looking for long-lasting quality.

New door "unlock" feature is terrible

Even when it was originally "working" (for only 2 days after delivery) it wouldn't consistently pop the door open without pushing on the release button hard and even then, sometimes you would have to pull out on the door itself before it would open

Terrible design, push button keeps braking!
Microwave lasted about four months it actually stop heating, the company has replaced it twice in two weeks because the push button keep breaking, my last one was installed yesterday Friday and today Saturday, yes the next day, it broke again!! Terrible design, when it worked it heat up fine no problem.

Attractive Garbage
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing! The latch broke the first time I used it. I will be returning it tomorrow with my son’s dinner trapped inside, having had it less than 12 hours. Incredibly disappointing and I have to drive another two hours round trip to return it. Never again, Whirlpool.

Bad latch system
Microwave was installed as part of my warranty. Took 2 weeks to finalize the delivery and installation and only lasted 3 days unfortunately the door latch broke and I have food stuck inside until they are able to troubleshoot it or change it.

Breaks easily

Once we got that fixed, within a week the glass on the microwave door shattered while we were taking food out of the microwave.
