Large capacity ventless dryer winner
As long as you understand that electric dryers take longer than gas you’re in for a treat! A king size comforter May take 90-105 minutes to completely dry but I expected that. No messy condensation tray to clean and easy laundry options makes this suitable for a child to operate. Noise level doesn’t bother me but the heat pump isn’t quiet.

Whirlpool Heat Pump Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a 20-year-old townhouse and discovered that the dryer vent is broken somewhere in the wall. It would require us to remove the heater/air conditioner downstairs in order to remove the drywall behind it. Instead, we switched from a regular gas dryer and bought a new electric ventless heat pump dryer from Whirlpool. It has taken a little while to get used to using it. I am super impressed at how well it is working. It heats at a cooler temperature which saves money and does not cause as much damage to the clothes. I have found that it is helpful to follow the chart in the instruction manual to choose different drying settings.

Only ventless dryer in its class
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second unit. It is the only vent-less large dryer available. The others are all less than 5 cu. ft. For typical US usage, that is a requirement. Once you get used to how it works it does a good job without over-drying.

Multiple Times Better Than My first One
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In 2016 I purchased a pre-cursor model for our new ultra-energy efficient home because it was the only full-sized ventless dryer available. I hated it, but I only ran it on the TIME DRY setting and it blasted heat into the small laundry room and took forever. I was forced to replace because it required replacement of a major part and the cost of the part and installation (AND the part was back-ordered) was not worth it. So I unhappily replaced it with this model and WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. I read directions carefully and use the ECO setting almost all the time. No excess heat and moisture. May take longer but heat is being re-cycled. No rise in electric bill because of this - and it has been a crazy winter here. A blessing well-disguised! This one might be as good as the full-sized, energy-efficient/ventless dryer universe will be.

Love my new Hybrid dryer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great, the only thing that whirlpool needs to do is to stop the lint from getting behind these lint catcher at the bottom of the dryer, it still manages to get on the coil and I have to vacuum it out, besides that it’s a great dryer.

Dryer can be located without concern for venting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We searched for a dryer that would work for our new location. After comparing several models, we purchased Whirlpool. After some use, we are pleased with the performance. One issue however, the door for the second filter in the front could use some redesign. It doesn’t lock very well and is quite flimsy. Adding the price for a proper door would not have changed my purchase as much as the plastic after thought door.

Love it!!
I searched extensively for a ventless dryer and this was the only full size I could find. Our dryer vented onto a 3 season porch and we developed mold and the dryer fluff was always annoying. It is so nice not to deal with that now. The dryer is pretty quiet and it doesn’t get too warm or smell like a laundromat in my kitchen when it runs. The color is modern and looks amazing.

Great looking and performing full size ventless.
I was so happy to find a full size ventless dryer. The dryer works as well if not better than my previous Miele with many more features. And looks great. I highly recommend

Amazing vent less dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is huge with lots of space to dry our clothes. The noise level 1 to 5 could be a 3. If you are doing more than 4 loads the same day, then it will get a little warm in the room, but for the most part, it is fine.
My only complaint will be that the clothes come out a little wrinkled. We tried to fix it by adding good quality softener to the washing cycle and anti-wrinkle drying sheets and that seems to work a little better.
Other than that, It is amazing.

Amazing technology.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just build a new laundry room closet upstairs and I needed to get a stackable unit in order for it to work. But I also did not want to run a vent out the roof or through the attic. So I did some research and came up with. Heat pump dryer system. Where they are ventless and able to perform their job. So I decided to do some research and found out that this dryer is the biggest heat pump, stackable, dryer in the market. So I gave it a shot since I oh Whirlpool before these for almost 20 years. And I have to say that I'm very happy with him and the investment, even though they're very expensive.

Ventless is amazing!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I have a small laundry space and the only way to vent is up the wall and out..I bought the matching set.. my new dryer is ventless and I absolutely love love love it! Mine are on pedestals and they still fit great side by side in a small room and no more stopping over to load and unload. They are quiet , no steamy condensation at all, no dusty mess outside of the dryer (there are 2 lint trap devices and they are great) I have had zero issues with the quality or mechanics of either appliance. Highly recommend.

Great dryer! Doesn’t destroy my clothes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer in August of 2019, and have been happy with it ever since. I bought it solely because of what it DOESN’T do to your clothes, and that’s burn them with hot air until they fall apart. This dryer literally sucks the moisture wetness from your clothes, and empties the water it has taken from my clothes, down the same drain my washer empties in to. It takes a bit longer to dry my clothes, but who cares when you know it’s not destroying your clothes. It has plenty of features and choices when drying your clothes, and has enough programs to get what you need, done. It’s not a “smart” dryer, but I honestly don’t see the need for it. The ONLY thing I wish it could do was a steam refresh cycle if you wanted to get the wrinkles out of some wrinkly clothes. But, that isn’t a reason not to buy it. So, if you’re looking for a dryer with lots of drying programs, one that doesn’t destroy your clothes, AND BEST OF ALL, doesn’t use a lot of electricity; then this is a great dryer to buy. I can’t see myself owning any other kind of dryer at this point, hybrid heat pump is the way to go!!

Love this dryer!
I was tired of cleaning my dryer vent, so I searched ventless. Euro versions are too small for our USA standards, but I found this dryer. I know it's rare for USA citizens to have ventless, but this heat pump dryer is large and does a great job. We had to learn to not overfill, but that, this dryer has been a workhorse champion. We use it all day, every day. You have to remember to keep a fan on in your washroom, but sometimes in the winter we just leave the washroom door open and it ends up warming and humidifying the house just a bit (helps in dry Utah). It's very quiet, very ez to use. I still think it's too expensive (one of the highest price dryer on the regular market)... I'm hoping it will give us 10+ years.

Great Features! Large Capacity!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dryer specifically because it is ventless. We recently remodeled our home and did not want to run a vent clear across our house. We are very pleased with the dryer’s performance. It takes a little longer to dry clothes and is a little louder because of the heat pump but both issues are very tolerable. We stacked it on top of a new Whirlpool Washer and located them in a closet. So far everything is working as hoped and planned.

Still learning all the features, but so far great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this ventless dryer. Would have rated it 5 stars but haven't had it long enough to use all the features. Was a bit concerned about purchasing ventless but am very happy I did! Was tired of trying to clean lint off of screens outside!

New technology
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this hybrid dryer for about a month and so far it is working great. Not having to use an external dryer vent was the main reason for purchasing this unit. Some heavy items take a little longer due to the energy efficiency of this hybrid unit but saving on electricity is worth it.

The ONLY Large Capacity Ventless Available
This is our replacement ventless dryer, purchased to replace an almost identical Whirpool model from 6 years ago. I estimate that I run 8 to 10 loads per week. The previous one required quite a few service calls. I was hoping that Whirlpool had improved the model but so far, after one week, it looks pretty much and sounds pretty much the same. It is loud. This dryer has two lint filters and you MUST clean or check both after each load. The previous version had a black foam insert in the lower filter, and WP has eliminated it, but the filter housing is identical. It appears that behind the lower filter, inside the machine, where there used to be a screen that I would vacuum about every two weeks, there now is some different looking. So I will vacuum in there, but I have no idea what will stop extra lint from going up around the drum because that was a previous problem. I wish WP would have inserted a better sound dampening blanket material inside the housing, the way they used to do in dishwashers a few years back. I would think that engineers have developed something by this time that would work with heat, etc. But at least, WP manufacturers this machine. No other residential laundry equipment manufacturer for the US is selling anything nearly this size. So they own this segment of the market.

Overall disappointed, but at least it is ventless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've run into several issues with this dryer.
First, the secondary lint screen wasn't fully attached to its frame. I had to fight with support to get it replaced under warranty.
The dryer sometimes gets clothes perfectly dry. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it even made the attempt. This is with the exact same clothes on the exact same settings. I haven't been able to figure out why it isn't consistent.
The dryer will sometimes claim that it is started, but then silently turn itself off without actually running. This seems to happen between loads.
The dryer might as well not have an end of cycle signal. It is barely audible in the same room, let alone across the house.
There is a lot of moisture around the secondary lint filter after the load is done. If I don't pull it out and leave the filter door open between loads, then it mildews and makes all my clothes smell terrible.
Overall, I'm disappointed. If I didn't *need* a ventless dryer then I'd send it back.
