If you cook a lot on your stove it gets very hot underneath. Everyone that sees it comments on it and they like it. I do wish it was a tad bit bigger on the inside height and had a melting button, sigh. It's not like we actually cook in it, just popcorn, soups, water for tea, etc. I really like it and have had no problems with it. I hope it lasts at least 14 years like my last Whirlpool microwave.
