Overview

Whirlpool 30 in. Induction Cooktop with 4 Smoothtop Burners

Cook dinner quickly thanks to this induction cooktop that boils water fast and offers Quick Cleanup. Also, when using dedicated cookware, optional assisted cooking features allow you to use your time more efficiently prepping other dishes.

Features:

Fast Boil
Boil 12 cups of water on average 25% faster on Booster to help you get dinner to the table in less time.

Keep Warm
Low heat keeps food ready to serve when other dishes aren't quite done, saving you time spent heating up food that's gotten cold.

Compatible Cutout
Install your new induction cooktop into the same size cutout as our electric cooktops, making the switch nearly effortless.

Control Lock Mode
Disable the control panel to avoid unintended use and make cleanup easy.

Melt
Prevent burning delicate foods like chocolate or butter with a Melt setting that lets you focus on other tasks.

Simmer
Maintain the right temperature for simmering soups and stews so you can let dishes cook while taking on the next step in meal prep.

Optional Flush Installation
Choose Optional Flush Installation for a flush fit and seamless look. With flush installation the cooktop is placed into the countertop, rather than on top of the countertop for a more built-in appearance.

Quick Clean Up
Induction technology keeps the cooktop surrounding the elements cool, helping prevent baked-on messes. With fewer messes, you can clean the touch-activated controls on the cooktop as easily as you use them.

Pan Detection
Easily see which element is activated with Pan Detection. A flashing symbol alerts you when a pan is removed or replaced on an active element.

30 Amp Installation
Properly install with a 30 amp hookup.

Kitchen Timer
Keep track of cook times with an easy-to-clean Kitchen Timer that's integrated into the controls.

Wall Oven Compatible
Install this cooktop on a countertop above a Whirlpool Wall Oven or on its own for more flexibility.

ADA compliant
This cooktop meets the Standards for Accessible Design specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide equal access to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big upgrade to regular electric [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Induction is great...really heats up pots and pans quickly. Really like controls have no knows. Takes a little getting use to but prefer this over the old electric. Negatives are the two small cooking rings are both in the back instead of one in front and one in back. Induction is noisier than regular electric but now used to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoying new cooktop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying our new cook top. A few of our cookware pots are not compatible, but the speed and control the temperature make up for that. Induction cooking is very nice, and cleanup is a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Induction cooktop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had a whirlpool induction cooktop in the past and enjoy this type of cooking. The lines showing where to place pans is very faint and difficult to see to center pans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from radiant cooktop! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this induction cooktop for a month now and love it. Pots/pans heat quickly and the temperature precision is awesome. Before, I would have to account for the amount of time the glass cooktop would take to heat or cool, but the control now is much more accurate. I love using my enameled cast iron here - it works SO much better. I also enjoy the safety features (will turn off automatically if the pot is removed for a significant period of time, won’t fully turn on if the pot doesn’t support induction, etc). I’m super happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nearly a miracle [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my electric cooktop for the whirlpool induction based on research as well as the recommendation from a friend. It has changed cooking for me. No more waiting for a pan to heat or pasta water to boil. Had to adjust some of my cooking habits, but we’ll worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loving the induction featues [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in February and I am just getting used to it. I love that it heats up so quickly and so far has been a great stove. The only drawback is how close the back burners are to each other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am still learning [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been working with it for about 1 week. I am still learning how fast it heats, which settings to use. I have not mastered all of it. It seems to do fine. I was worried about how to clean it, but it is really easy and looks so good!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stovetop about 5 months ago. It works well but the controls on the top are a bit difficult to use. Sometimes pressing them does not activate them or sometimes it spins through the numbers very quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not bad [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i like the cooktop but looks like the glass scratches very easily i already have a couple os scracthes and i barely use it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s fine, but flawed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the induction and it heats well. No complaints there. I find the controls to not be intuitive and they feel “sluggish” — slow to respond. In an attempt to make it feel high tech all they succeeded in doing was making it feel slow. I’m also pretty sure it’ll be the first part to break. Gimme dials and real inputs. But it’s what came with the house, so I’ll ride it till it dies. Without an overhead light I’m not sure how anyone would be able to “read” the stovetop. The circles indicating the induction zones are nearly invisible. I do have one such light in my hood, fortunately. I also lament the lack of two burners next to each other of equal diameter, as someone who makes pancakes and uses a griddle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] mostly happy with the induction cooktop, but wish I had selected one with separate, contrasting knob controls . The gray on black is hard to see, and pressure sensitive hard to control, especially for my male parter!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get the extended warranty, you'll probably need it! Mine errored out after only a couple years and no help! It also stops cooking everytime a little liquid boils over! So frustrated! It heats up super fast when it works!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The touch buttons are not very responsive. Sometimes I have to push a button several times just to get it to turn it on or to change the temperature. The top is very sensitive to water. Even if the cooktop is locked, when I wipe it with a wet cloth to clean it, it starts beeping and I can’t stop it and have to wait for it to stop on its own before I am able to use it. It shuts down for a while when a pan boils over and gets the top wet, then I have to dry it and wait for it to reset so I can turn the burner on again. I like how fast the power booster is to heat. Unfortunately, this thing irritates the heck out of me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less than ideal. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to buy this because 10 year old Whirlpool induction cooktop, which still works just fine, cracked its glass top during cleaning. I prefer the older one for several reasons: the controls are easier to read and operate, displayed in a much larger font; the small burners are in front; and i had to have the hole in countertop enlarged to fit the new. Reading from an EMF meter show higher readings in the new. I will be getting a lead shield to protect myself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just OK [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to replace my older electric cook top that came with the house I bought. Gas was my first choice but not available. I love to cook and studied all apparent choices. Induction seemed my only alternative. And this Whirlpool looked like the best available choice. However, after using for a few months a few things bother me about this cooktop 1. The layout if the burners is kind of wacky and should be re-designed. 2. the burners are hard to center on as the center mark is covered by the pot or pan using it. 3. The heating elements appear to be about half the size of what's indicated on the glass top. (I think this causes the pan warping on the special cookware I had to buy for this cooktop.) 4. Uneven heat from the elements. It's easy to see if you simply boil water. 5. I'm having trouble when sautéing and searing. The upper end of the heating range needs more precise control. Instead of just 7,8,9 there should be 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5. (Kind of would like to see the heat control analog rather than digital.) 6.The special options on the control panel are rather confusing. The two page user guide doesn't help much and should be expanded. Also a YouTube video using those features would be very helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cumbersome [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove looks good but in low light it’s hard to see the controls there is no back light for the controls just red number levels after u find them. Also audible alarms are hard to hear. The stove cooks good

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick heating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how fast this heats liquid and food!! But the touch buttons are very sensitive and just wiping it clean is tough!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought the double oven 4 element induction cooktop. Bigger oven is a good convection oven but too low to the ground. I have ruined many a dinner when when the raw food slips off the pan as i get on my hands and knees to either put in or take out food. As for the induction top , yes it is fastt method of cooking but why does the stove have to always complain when a little boiling water splashes out of tge pot. But say not one beep when a roasting pan is placed on the stove and unknowingly the element is turned on. The empty Pot gets so hot the glass top begins to melt. I tryvto take the pot off thecstove. The glass behaves like Tacoma Bridge . Some glass adheres permanently to bottom of pan. And the "off switch" is as hot as Death Valley and won't register my finger. to the induction. Luckily the fuse box is the kitchen.
