Nice fridge, quiet and roomy in smaller footprint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this fridge for several weeks now and all is good. I had inherited a 30 year old JenAir side by side that was still working but I didn't want it to fail and have to but whatever was available. The JenAir was a 22cf and just didn't have the room. I was limited on size as I had limited space for the fridge.
This fridge didn't have water but did have ice in the freezer below so it was a slight trade off. I have the ice maker connected to an Express water under sink R/O water filter with a permeate pump and it works just fine keeping the ice hopper full. I use a lot of ice so again a happy camper!
It has much more room for being the same size as the JenAir side by side. It's quiet and has adjustable split shelves instead of single shelves so I have more options for different height items both in the fridge and on the door.
I do wish it had a butter dish in the door and the crisper drawers could be a little bigger and a better drawer rail system but those are not deal breakers.
Time will tell as to how long it lasts but so far I am very happy with this refrigerator and would recommend it

It has great seals so closing and opening immediately after closing doesn't work, but that just reassures me that it has good seals! Plenty of space and a good range of places for diferent size bottles, jars. Did not have to hook up ice maker. I really hate ice makers!

Working well so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted two things for my new refrigerator: keep my food cold and be reliable. So far this Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator is doing very well. I have several thermometers in the refrigerator and one in the freezer. I set the refrigerator to 5 and left the freezer at 4. The temperatures are steady and consistent. One thing I really liked about the refrigerator was the split shelving with the metal supports. I have a lot more confidence that these shelves will easily handle several gallons of milk or my filtered water pitcher. The refrigerator is also reasonably quiet when it's running. I can hear it, but it's not loud. I have a decibel meter and standing a few feet away from the front I measured about 45 decibels. Not bad at all. I am really liking the bottom freezer arrangement. I didn't realize how much I would like opening the refrigerator and being able to grab my milk or whatever without having to bend over. Everything is within reach when I'm standing up straight. The bottom freezer pull out works well and does not require too much bending over to reach things. It has taken me a bit of trial and error to find an arrangement that works well for me. Overall, I'm happy with this refrigerator. I am hoping it will last me 15 years or more.

After having two refrigerators with all the bells and whistles, we decided to go back to the basics and couldn't be happier. Now, when we open the refrigerator door, we can see all of our food! The size and shape of the ice from the ice maker is nice--not too big. It's also a wonderful size for just two people. We bought a Brita filter/pitcher for our water and we are quite pleased with our choices.
