Fantastic cooler
I recently purchased this cooler so haven’t had much time to test it. But, I have used it while kayaking/fishing and also left it in my car for post run/ride beverages and snacks. It works great keeping items cold and not melted. The temperature was around 70-75 for both my kayak outing and my run/bike workout. For the kayak I was out about 2 hrs before digging into the cooler and the food and ice were still cold when I opened the cooler. For the bike/run, the cooler was in my car for close to 4 hrs before I opened it. The ice pack was starting to thaw but was still cold as were the drinks/snacks. I didn’t get any pictures of what I put in the cooler for each outing but it was more than enough for a lunch with drinks for two people. I pre cooled the food and cooler and used a yeti thin ice pack for both events and this seemed to help. The cooler is well built, looks great (I bought the navy blue) and functions as advertised. Definitely recommend this cooler.

I bought so many different coolers - when I really should’ve just bought this one from the beginning. Worked as advertised, everything stayed cold and nothing leaked. I’ve had this for a little over a year, using it as a lunchbox for work. This morning, I had it on the steps of our 2022 Peterbilt truck, as I always do. But this morning I didn’t put it inside the truck before it started to back out. It fell off and got ran over by this 50,000lb truck. The contents didn’t make it, and the zipper separated from the pressure. Popped like a balloon. But we were able to get the zipper back around and lined up, sprayed it down with the water hose. GOOD AS NEW. I love this cooler

Perfect Size Cooler for Post Hike Refreshments
I have owned a lot of Yeti products, and it is rare that there is a product I don't like, so it was no surprise that I loved this one too.
I have owned my Hopper Flip 18 for a couple years, and absolutely love it. That cooler was a bit large for keeping in the car for our post hike refreshments, so I opted to get a smaller version. At first I was a little concerned about the size, but it is perfect. Typically after a hike I like to have a couple waters, Gatorades, and some beer for my wife and I. This cooler fit that perfect, while still being able to hold enough ice to keep things cold for the day.
Typically our hikes are at least an hour drive, plus 8+ hours on the trail. So being locked in a hot car for that amount of time, I was not sure the ice would hold. However, it did perfectly. There have been a ton of reviews about the ice melting before the end of the day, so I am not sure what people are doing. But on an 80+ degree day, locked in the back of a car (obviously hotter) for 9 hours, I still had plenty of ice, with minimal melt. The photos attached are prior to loading in Jeep, and after we got back from our hike.. The ice has barley moved.
You just need to remember NOT to put warm beverages in a cooler then toss the ice on. Also Ice is cheep. No need to only throw a few cubes in. Pile that ice in, and you are good to go..
