With 2 inch thick insulated cooler walls and a freezer-quality lid gasket, ice stays frozen much longer so you can keep cool all day.
Stronger than strong, the YETI Tundra 45 cooler makes no compromises when it comes to build quality. Approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC), the YETI Tundra 45 cooler is bear-proof when used with approved Master Locks.
The attention to detail doesn't stop there though; the YETI Tundra 45 cooler has a NeverFail Hinge System to ensure the lid of the cooler will never break even when under pressure, as well as BearFoot Non-Slip feet to prevent it from slipping around on the slick deck of a boat. To top it off, the YETI Tundra 45 cooler even comes with a leak proof Vortex Drain System, gone are the days of struggling to flip your cooler over to empty it after a long day out.

Hands-down, the best cooler I’ve ever used!
This cooler is absolutely amazing!! I’ve heard the hype about Yeti coolers for years, but figured that our old Coleman was good enough and not worth replacing. We finally bought the Yeti, and it was a revolutionary experience. We just went on a 4-day, 3-night camping trip with this cooler - about 15 lbs of ice, a large quantity of beer, and some actual food (mostly milk, string cheese and burgers). Yeti recommends all sorts of tricks to stretch the cooling power, including pre-chilling the cooler, putting a towel over the contents so you don’t have complete air exchange every time you open it, and not keeping it open for very long/not going into it often. We did not do the first two tricks. We didn’t leave the cooler open for excessively long periods of time, but we were not particularly careful about not opening it very often. And yet. By day 2, there was still mostly ice and barely any water. With any other cooler, most of the ice would have melted by then. By day 3, there was some water but still huge chunks of ice. With any other cooler, there wouldn’t be any ice left and the water wouldn’t even be cold. By the time we came home on day 4, there were still sizable chunks of ice and the water was icy-cold. We were EXTREMELY impressed. I think if we pre-chilled the cooler, did the towel trick, put all the beer in a different cooler so we could go in and out of that cooler often and not open the Yeti very much, we could probably get the Yeti to last 5-6 days.

Great investment
This is a great cooler. Just used it for the first time. It was so cold, there was frost accumulating on the packages inside. Well built and keeps things very cold for long periods. It was a bit expensive, but well worth it. If you think about how many years you will be using this cooler or even handing it down to the next generation, it is an excellent choice. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good cooler.

At first was disappointed but as I talked to a guy at work and he told me how to get it cold first then the ice will last in there a long time after that. Now it’s an awesome cooler. Ice does last 4 days. So glad my wife pressured me into getting 1.

A great test
I purchased the Tundra 45 about a week ago. When it arrived I took it outside and filled it with about 3/4 ths full of snow and brought it into the kitchen. 3 days later, I still have a little less than 1/2 the snow. I wanted to find out for myself just how good a Yeti cooler is. I'm very happy with the outcome.
